Shipping vehicle to hawaii

Will drop off at port in San Diego or LA. Will pick up at port in Honolulu.

Vehicle has a bed rack that is installed on the bed railing system with bolts. Will have roof top tent installed. Total bed height with tent and rack installed will be 75.5 inches. Tacoma cab height is 70.6 inches.


I’m getting responses saying this may not be done however I’ll like to know if anyone has ever done this and any advice will greatly be appreciated

 

are u going thru Matson or Pasha?
I have a friend that works at Matson on the vehicle side, if they let u leave it on most likely 1 of the chronics that work there will steal it and have u file insurance. Not that they don't make $150k a year and can buy their own, they are just bored.

Shipped mine from Delaware to Hawaii. Got trucked from Baltimore to the San Diego port. On a boat from San Diego port to Honolulu. Again from Honolulu to Kahului, Maui. Shows up tomorrow. Photo for reference during the initial inspection.

 

Hawaii!? Lucky you! I wonder how much it would be to ship my RV over to the Big Island? When I was a kid I used to drive up vehicles from a car dealership I worked at to ship from San Diego to Hawaii. Mostly British exotics.
