Installed 6112’s 4th setting, ECGS bushing, Icon RXT option 1, 5160’s. Basically a 2” lift.

A month later I have a mild vibe around 40 mph, but not mild enough to ignore.

Do I need 2 degree shims or a carrier bearing spacer?

Any recommendations on sourcing axle shims and a carrier drop spacer kit?

2” lift so 2 degree shims right? Do I need a new leaf pack centering bolt that’s longer?

Not sure axle degree shims are necessary on a 2 inch lift. Maybe try the carrier bearing spacer first since it's easy to install

Maybe you lost a weight from a wheel

I’d think if it was a wheel weight I’d have vibrations at all speeds.

But maybe it’s worth getting the tires balanced and a new alignment done to rule those issues out. And then start with the bearing spacers.

Came back from 5 days out of town, and the vibes are gone. Maybe settling. They’ll probably come back.

You can always use some washers as spacers for the center bearing before buying the kit. The spacers are about 3/8" thick. I have them with my 2.5" lift (5100 Bilsteins). No diff drop kit, no shims, no ECGS bushing, 1-inch blocks, and no vibes.

I've got the Icon stage 8. 2" lift front/back (rxt leafs at option 2) and did the ecgs bushing. No carrier shim, pinion shim, or diff drop... no vibs. You might try adding some weight in the back. Also, make sure the u-bolts are torqued down.

I had driveline vibes with a 2" lift (AAL + overload) at about 10 mph. Minor, so I let it go for years. Then I went to the RXT's, option 2, which is about 2.4" of lift and the vibes got a little worse.
When I had the 2" lift, I tried the carrier bearing drop spacers. All it did for me was move the vibration from 10 mph to about 40 mph. I never did try shims, although it may be worth trying.

Unfortunately with dropping the carrier bearing and shims, there doesn't seem to be one setup that fixes it all. Some get vibes with a rear lift, some of course don't. You'll probably need to spend some time trying different spacers (washers) for the carrier bearing and maybe try shims.

I decided to get a new one piece driveshaft and it solved all the vibrations. I just didn't want to deal with figuring it out.

Follow up: since the vibe was much more noticeable on the driver’s side, I really couldn’t figure out what was going on. And was it really a vibe? Or more of a cyclic light grinding noise.

Well, finally took it in for a professional evaluation, it’s the front driver’s side wheel bearing. Mystery solved.

When I was installing my lift, and trying to take the hub off the driver’s side for the ECGS install, I did notice some corrosion issues. The axle nut cap had a dent in the side, almost like it had been pried off with a screwdriver. I couldn’t get the axle nut off with PB blaster and heat. I think that flaw in the cap let in enough water to eventually corrode the CV to hub connection, and bearing as well.

Cannot fucking wait to get this fixed and be rid of the damn vibe or grinding or whatever one might call it.
