    how much do most shells weigh on average? trying to get an estimate of overall added weight with future mods. thanks

    Easiest way to find out is to call the manufacturer directly and ask, providing the model of the shell and whether you have a long bed vs. short bed. My call to SnugTop lasted 2 mins and got my answer - 150lbs for my SnugTop Rebel on the 6ft bed fwiw.
