I want to replace my shark fin antenna with something more low profile. Does anyone know of a product or solution? I have searched all over and can't seem to find anyone that makes a replacement product. There was someone here on TW that was making it and no longer does, same with a couple of other vendors.

Yes there is an OEM option that came with other years. My 12 has the shark fin and I haven’t snapped it off yet. Lemme see if I can dig up the part number…

Thanks I was thinking maybe I could just cut it off but I thought it might look like crap but this link looks pretty good. I have a GFC that that over time has gotten too close to the antenna and will slightly rub.

I cut mine before installing my GFC. You have to be careful cutting because there are electronics in it. I capped it with a piece of aluminum flashing and black DAP window/door sealant then sprayed it with rubberized undercoating.

Gfc makes a delete kit i think. Or id go for the older OEM option, but likely you wont find one that matches your paint. My 2010 has the lower profile one. I don't think Ive ever used it. But such a big pain to get to, to remove, i just left it

Hey man so which GFC did you go with that sits lower than the normal GFC height for a Tacoma?

I got the one for my truck. With the 2nd gens, you are able to change the bed caps, which I did with KB Voodoo - to the flat style ones. If I recall its like 3/8" lower
