Sequential mirror turn signal mod……..good experiences pls

Do you have turn signals in your mirror?

Yes, but they're not sequential and my headlights are the base non led headlights with halogen daytime running lights.

 

I bought these before the proliferation on Amazon / other resellers so I paid nearly $100 for them. I think I purchased from Tacoma Lifestyle. I had the full blackouts first but didn't like how they looked and went with the smoked style.

I have the OEM LED headlamps so here is a video showing how they play together. I'm sure the new style that more closely matches the OEM blink pattern is preferable, but when I purchased my set this is what was available.

Don’t break the tabs on your mirror caps pulling them off like I did…..

Pull straight out and firmly do not twist the cap

 

You should be good then since you have the stock plug connection that's in your mirror from your existing lights.

Seems like these were a few taquitos cheeeper 18 months ago? They work flawless and add 5hp after waiting for a break in traffic to turn left.

One of mine went flying across the garage, but it's still good. 5 second rule.

 

amazing. I broke mine then was in denial and used electrical tape to hold it together and put a shitty eBay mirror cap over it. Kept coming apart. I eventually sacked up and got two painted OEM black mirror caps.

 

Reporting back, installed mine yesterday and was super easy. Looks great.
Like someone else posted, pull the covers straight out, not up and don’t twist. Mine came out very easy.

 

I learned the hard way…passenger side center clip snapped. Outside clips still hold it in place fine, but has more play than I’d like. Oh well

 

Maybe you could use a little adhesive caulk around that edge? Or even something like liquid nails.

I would probably get the sequential turn signals, if I hadn't already gotten the ones from meso when they first came out. BUT, having said that, I did convert my OEM headlights with the halogen bulbs and all that dang CHROME, to clear lenses with black surrounding the LED bulbs. WAY better, and they came with sequential turn signals and full DRLs. So, with the side mirror turn signals that I got from Meso, combined with these new sequential lights on the front headlights, well, it looks insanely great, and honestly I am glad I got what I did! The fact is that in changing out the side mirror OEM turn signals, the advantage just from a safety standpoint alone, makes it worthwhile, because the new ones are MANY TIMES BRIGHTER than the OEM ones. At night, when I give my signals, I can see the light from them way out front and to the sides of the truck! But for those who have not changed out their side mirror signals yet, and if you have sequential turn signals on the headlights, I could say it might be cool to have the side mirrors also be sequential too, but again, it does look good with the ones from MESO that are not sequential too.

I just purchased the amber sequential from Tacoma Lifestyle. I didn't know Amazon was a choice... I didn't look. I saw Tacoma Lifestyle had them on sale so I picked them up. I am happy with my purchase. They were easy to install, and I like the look of the amber on my mirror over the chrome.

 

I wish mine had them

 

Those are bad ass. Only ones I have seen w a full amber colored lens.
