So, a friend recently gave me a Speedtech Lights Raptor TIR visor light and i can not figure out how to get the inside prong setup. The prongs are too wide to fit under the little square thing with the hook. I can take care of the outside prong by unscrewing and slipping it under the oval piece easily.

Also anyone know how to remove the A-pillar trim, will need to tuck the wire under it to keep it from blocking my view.

    Here are pictures

    Any help would be appreciated
    Sam

To note: I am trying not to alter the inside too much.

How did you get it to mount on the side with no screw? I have visor lights to install, but I'm not sure what to do with the inside part. Thanks

I dunno what brand you got. As for my model you screw the brackets to the rear track of the lights and slide them under your visor mounts. My Model is a Speed Tech Lights Raptor Visor.

Sorry, I should have specified more. My lights have all the brackets like yours, but the visor mount in the Tacoma only has screws on the side by the window, the inside visor mount doesn't have any screws, so I was wondering how to hold the light brackets in place since the visor mount doesn't have screws.

    Thanks,
    Steve

You need to bend the brackets a bit and slide them under the visor mount. Ensure that there is a bit of bracket on each side of the square. As for removing that one, you twist it toward the window and gently pull downward. Ensure that you hear a snap when you put it back in place. That was the worst nightmare to do.

I took my visor light out cause it kept flashing back on my dash AND windshield. I have a coworker that is gonna be installing it properly for me along with my grille lights and intersection lights, he will also be reinstalling the traffic advisor. He worked for an Emergency Vehicle lighting company so knows how to install them with the least trouble and without the issues of a novice install. I can ask him for advice or to film the install when he does it if you'd like.

Thank you for the information, Sam. Yes, if you can get some videos on the install, that would be great. I installed mine this past weekend, and it didn't turn out too bad. I only got one piece of the bracket under that one visor mount, on both sides, and the passenger side was tight because of the camera that sits there. My lights are blue / white for the fire department, I ran a call tonight with them, and the flash back wasn't too bad, but could be better. Thanks for all the information.

You are welcome. I run Amber/Green for Security in FL, but plan to ask the Sheriff if I can swap to Red/White or Red since I volunteer Search and Rescue for the Sheriff's Office. I am still working on my own install cause me and the one who is gonna help me with it are both working long shifts that make it tricky.
