Honestly I don't think my 2006 is gonna die anytime soon. I change the oil after each ride, once a year she needs a new pump gasket, but that is it. She's bulletproof.

Has anyone on TW tried the Risk Lock-N-Load Strapless system? When eventually I go with an enclosed trailer setup (or Eurovan) I would consider trying them especially eventually down the rode if I reproduce and have a bunch of little orange bikes I am transporting haha. I have never actually seen or talked to anyone that has purchased one.

    https://riskracing.com/pages/lock-n-load

Edit: I hate to admit it... because I love lifted badass trucks but the Motovan setup is whats up if you ride and travel a lot:thumbsup:

I do not have one but Rocky Mountain ATV did a pretty good video on them recently. The Pro model is now on my future to do list.

I did see that. I like the idea of the pro model one for a truckbed and the old style one for a trailer cause I think the older style keeps the pressure off the suspension although i mean its not like its being weighted down hard or anything. I might just have to indulge though in the Pro it looks like a great system.

We seem to have a very common interests and taste in vehicles. Man I love your bike I actually just sent it to a buddy with a 19' the other day and said "do your graphics like this one"

I prefer the hitch set up also. Easy to load and unload by yourself and keeps your tailgate closed and secure for camping gear. I recently added some brake/blinkers to the rack though because it blocks the truck tails pretty good.

Bikes and trucks go hand in hand! And there’s nothing wrong with a little bike porn.

Back on topic though I got my set up dialled in I think I’ll be happy with it.

Magically I was able to get my box bolts out and I got some D-rings from a dodge sprinter van.

They’re a little beefier and fit perfectly. There’s also no slop in the rings so they won’t rattle around and make a bunch of noise.

Just got my bed rail tie down brackets installed. The good news: I was able to get them mounted without having to remove my tonneau (just flipped it upside down). The bad news: I thought worse case I would have to just remove the cover, but on fit up, I realized the side rails had spacers on them from the tonneau that brought them off the bed by like 3/4". This prevented me from mounting the brackets in the side rail, so I'm not getting the bed stiffening benefit of the brackets, but overall that rear of cab bed rail is reinforced, and it will still spread the load out a lot better than bed rail cleats.

As you can see there is a gap in the center because of the way I had to install it, but doesn't really affect wheel placement. I have a couple of ideas on how to mod it if need be, but overall pretty happy that I was able to install it with out having to remove the tonneau. The tonneau's 13 years old, I have a feeling if I remove it, anything plastic probably won't survive. I don't use the tonneau a lot, but it is nice to have when you do need it.

Finally got the first ride in the books ended up doing the sideways load and going front right corner to the frame by the foot peg and same thing to the left rear corner both to d rings in the box floor. The bike was in there solid as anything. Roads up to the track are a mix of what looks like carpet bombed highway and dirt roads.
