I've had my 16' TRDOR AC for 2 years now and I've noticed that all of the seatbelts
lock-up very easily. IMO the mechanism that makes them lock seems to be a bit too sensitive.
It could just be me but I just wanted to see if anyone else has come across this.

Don’t try to put your belt on when going on a downward slope or braking or doing both...it’s a good thing for them to lock easily...your family might be thankful one day.

I never thought someone would ever complain of a safety feature working too well....

nah, I've been in cars that catch you if you even reach for something up front.
That would be too sensitive for my taste also.

Small issue as well but, i have a downward slope leaving the driveway and in the spring and summer have to lean forward to see the entire road. Sometimes if i lean forward too quick while coming to a stop it catches me ( shocker i know )

My 2017 seatbelts seem very sensitive. It is a real pain in the ass when you are trying to see around the driver side pillar. Friggin twisties on a bumpy road...

I agree. Seat belts are too sensitive. And I don’t use a phone case.

I use to have that problem haven't noticed in a while. Which makes me wonder why. I wear my seat belt. Maybe I drive slower, or positioned my seat to where I don't feel the belt grab as much. 2nd gen, carry over perhaps.

This annoys me in most vehicles. Use to drive a manual delivery truck, on bumpy roads the belt would sometimes hold me against the seat and I wasn't able to shift.

:locked: because there's really no solution and this always goes sideways.

To O.P., yes some if us have noticed some vehicles to be more sensitive than we like. maybe with age it will become less so.

What are the riskier things you do?

Car accidents are the 3rd highest cause of accidental death, after drug overdoses and suicide.

Even if you don't drive a lot, statistically it's the thing most likely to kill you that's out of your control.

Not meaning to argue but I dont think suicide is an accidental death.

The "Guy" said that the seat belt was locking up when he didn't need it too. Ya'll jumped on the thread hacker and as a result hacked the "Guys" thread. Come on now...

I completely agree with you, but that's the category it's lumped in with by the CDC.

    Edit:
And to stay on topic, I haven't had any issues with the belts locking up too easy.

Not everyone in a vehicle accident dies. Some lose an arm or leg, have their head go through the windshield, break a neck or back, or become paraplegic or quadriplegic.

Sometimes it’s just a headache or body pain for a few days, weeks or months.

The number who die is small compared to injuries.

There’s a lot of pain that goes on after those vehicle accidents.

Aside from deaths, injuries and those treated in the Emergency Departments and hospitalizations account for a much larger number.

Additionally, a lot of people with minor injuries don’t go to the hospital, refuse transport by ambulance, don’t see a doctor, or are transported away from an accident scene by privately operated vehicle.

    From the CDC:
