Are there any alternates to the seat jackers?
I like their product but the price seams steep. I did a few searches here to see if there are any DIY solutions but could not find any.

Are there other companies I can look at? If forbidden by TW due to a sponsorship could someone drop me a hint/code word?

I see stacking washers would not work due to the offset and angle.

The reason I ask is I have a cross country trip coming up and would like to avoid using a folded towel.

    Thank!

I used 1" longer grade 10.9 bolts and some 1/4" thick 1/2" hole washers. It ain't complicated you're just lifting the rear of the seat.

I lifted the front originally with the exact same method.

After running it for a year didn't help my seat or back issues like I thought it would dropped the front raised the rear like everyone else said to do and that did help some.

I still use a Purple seat cushion on long trips that helps the most but Tacoma seats just kinda suck and I have the Off-Road with all the lumbar supports and higher bolsters or whatever. They're still not great seats.

I have 3/4" lift in the rear of the seat and I am about to put another 1/4" in it when I pull my whole interior to do Dynamat.

I vote for the genuine Desert Does It jackers.

Yes the price is a bit high but the product is first class quality, fits right, works right, looks right - as in factory installed look.

Raising the front of the seat was a dramatic comfort improvement for me.

    A few.
I just installed a set on mine friday. Definetely more comfortable seating. The metal pins that are attached to the seat bracket and stick into the floor boards are there for a reason and act as an anchor for safety. Sticking washers under the front isnt a good idea imo for safety reasons if involved in an accident.
I wouldnt trust a cheap knockoff version for safety reasons.

It took me a little time get past the price but considering all the money spent on mods myself and others have done just for looks
I thought buying sonething that actually improves the truck was a good investment.
