It seems that my screen occasionally flickers as I accelerate after having come to a complete stop. It also happens as I'm coming to a stop. It is only occasional, and I've never been actually looking directly at the screen when it happened. I only ever notice it in my peripheral vision, but I'm pretty sure it's not an alert (like a text message alert) that has popped up and then goes away before I can look at it.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

Hey, I just had a screen reset with acceleration today and found your post via Google. I drive a 2017 DCSB SR5.

Was on the freeway, accelerated to pass, my music cut out, and by the time I looked down, the Tacoma warning was on screen. Everything came back on appropriately within seconds.

Have you ever removed the stereo for any reason, or tapped into any fuses? Do you have any mods installed at all? I’m a bit concerned that the “anytime backup camera/front camera mod” connections may have loosened. Could also be a loosened add-a-tap in the dash position???

I’ll look forward to talking this through with you.

Im like 90% sure that my cluster screen has done this a few times in the past, but like you was never looking at it when it happened... thought I was stroking out, but ive come to the conclusion that until it turns off and stays off, there is nothing I can do about it.

Since posting this, I have finally been able to see it in action. It seems to only happen on the Spotify screen. All of the album thumbnails flicker. I think it's probably just a Spotify problem - I hope.

Do you have any aftermarket mods that you’ve plugged in? Sounds like OP is experiencing something a little bit different

I've noticed this on my radio screen on my 21 once in a while. At 1000 miles.

No kidding. I’ve never experienced it before and it freaked me out. Guess the only thing to do is check all my connections and continue to monitor. Thanks for the insight

Finally, I thought I was going crazy, this is exactly how I would describe, very faint flickering that lasts a fraction of a second

Sorry to hijack your thread OP.

My truck went out on me briefly while driving today when I turned on my lights—dash lights, speedo and tach to zero, stereo blank, everything. All came back momentarily and truck kept running, but scared me. After parking it and turning it off, everything was dark, no “on” indicators, no info screen. Suspected loose fuse or add-a-tap or something, got under the hood to check and found that my negative ground where battery connects to frame was loosened. Tightened her up and all is well now, like nothing ever happened.

Clearly I’m describing different symptoms than the rest here, but will leave this post up for others who may run into the same issue.
