    Hi Guys,

i know i might be up s***’s creek but im wondering what I can do about scratches on my interior door panel? I have 3 decent scratches that have discoloured the black, textured plastic and am wondering whether i should even try with a heat gun if it’s turned white from whatever gouged it? I’ve heard trying to cover with the correct colour of paint would be nearly impossible and this obviously isn’t something covered under warranty.

Please let me know if you’ve had success or any tips!

    Thanks,

    Jordan

I put a massive scratch in my rear door loading a microwave.

I took a razor and shaved the plastic from the edge that i peeled up and then used a small propane heat gun/soldering iron to try and smooth the last bit out.

All the heat gun did was make the spot shiny with the gouge left in the center.

Basically, it just highlighted my mistake.

I would recommend not using the heat gun.

I will look later when I get to the garage but I found a black dye shoe cream that was given to me by a lady that owns a shoe store. A little on a rag and it worked perfect. Best product I have found that worked and so far no touch ups needed.

Hey you are missing the felt piece inside your door handle. I noticed one of my doors is missing it as well. I think the guy on the line was asleep when he built our trucks.

Don't feel bad your not alone, i've already scratched up the door panels in the access cab as well as the drivers door card. Black seems to show all. Going to contact the dealer about my simonize contract if its covered. They claim any tear in the seats or elsewhere is covered. Just wonder if it covers manmade.

Had my truck in for maintenance and while they inspected it, the tech slipped and put his hand through the speaker grill in the access cab door. I was surprised at how fragile it was. Only took 6 months for the dealer to fix it(after 10’s of emails and phone calls of course)
