SCRAPPER: Chocolate Mountain Aerial Gunnery Range

Interesting area in this documentary. Meth tweakers stealing unexploded bombs and more off an active bombing range.

Need to head back down in that area to check out the Salton Sea region again.

Spent a lot of time out there sending stuff down range and these methhead scrappers would come in during the night and clean everything up. We would leave anything we didnt want out and the next day gone! Brass,link, used earpro... FREAKS!

 

Nothing "works" harder than a tweaker that needs his next fix.

 

Gotta watch. For many years we have camped near the east end of the Bradshaw Trail a few times a year. We ride NEAR the gunnery range and see tons of meth labs.

Totally unrelated, found these items at a secure and undisclosed spot in the desert.

Meth lab #1 might have been in the documentary. Looks similar.

 

I think i remember seeing a youtube video of some campers staying in a listed boondocking spot out there that was basically a meth head haven full of art installments, etc. They were woken up by the sound of apache helicopters blowing shit up in the middle of the night. Probably cool to see that going on less the tweakers that are probably going to steal my shit while i try to sleep.

 

I carry a long gun on my ATV trips in the remote desert areas because of some super sketch meth lab-ey looking set ups I have run across.
