Scotty Kilmer seems to know everything or at least says he does but seems to work in his driveway out of his house garage just like you and I do - doesn't have a profession garage like The Car Nut - How do you think that works ?

I think he makes lots of money off making videos.
Always has, he started on TV.

    He’s about the views.
Some, let me emphasize “some”, of his advice is good.
But I wouldn’t build a knowledge base off his advice.
Some of the stuff he says it outlandish. He’s an entertainer.

Scotty is entertaining and as noted above some of his advice is good, take the good ignore what you want. I like him most because he annoys TW “experts” lol.

For those who haven’t seen this funny Scotty Kilmer parody video it’s worth watching. The guy has all of Scotty’s mannerisms down pat and even sounds like him!

    I really like watching him....

Other honorable mentions I really like are Rainman Ray, Eric O and The South Main Auto Channel, and Peter with Toyota Maintenance.

I personally think he’s very annoying to watch. There has been countless times I was interested in his video started to watch and after 30-60 seconds I couldn’t stand him any longer. Not sure why he has a a big following. Lots of his info is BS.

The Care Car Nut now that’s one of my favorite Toyota based channels to learn from.

He's got clickbait fever. Used to be good but ran out of content. Only so many ways you can tell people to buy a Toyota Celica.

Getting back to the actual question.
You don’t need a professional garage to be a professional mechanic.
There are plenty of professional mechanics working out of a regular garage, or no garage at all.
And plenty of “non-professional” mechanics working in “professional” garages.

Check out Pine Hollow Auto Diagnostics on YouTube.
He as professional without a professional garage.

    Professional is over used anyways.
You’re either good at it, or you aren’t.
And not being good at it isn’t always bad.

The Car Care Nut is a Toyota Tech so that's a big plus for us.
