Cool, thanks. What do you think about building in a bit of caster to the lower solid mount tabs? Offsetting them so the tire is pulled a bit more forward when you have to essentially pull it back from the top of the spindle with the UCA adjustment to get the caster.

not a bad idea, you might find it hard getting the bolts lined up at an angle, others have mentioned having a tough time. Easy enough to cut a few different sets of tabs if you are having it done by someone, i've thought about it too. that way you've still got the option to run it straight if its a bear to get the offsets to work. I've currently got my rear cam bolt in the lower arm and about maxed out for + caster so i can clear the 295 for now. If you have some offset tabs for the rear made let me know.

Once you solid mount the lower, if you want to add caster you will end up moving the tire closer to the firewall since you're using the upper like you said. I like running less caster to keep the clearance i need at the rear now that i use the upper, and by less i mean 3* compared to lots of guys running 4 and 5. The wheel feel is lighter that way and daily driving is much more enjoyable. The flexibility that the rear cam bolt in the lower and the upper arms being adjustable is pretty cool though, was nice this last alignment i did becuase i didnt pull the upper off, i just used the lower rear cam.

Interesting, never thought about a mix of solid and a cam. Getting some info from @jeffz0rz about the tabs, LSK said they weren't doing them anymore. I may just get a bunch of blanks and drill them myself, and have a few options.

I'll get a caliper on the tabs so you've got dimensions. Could even cut your own  its just 3/16 flat bar.

Don't worry about the dims, I have mine all ripped apart and calipers handy, I was just more wondering if you had a part list for the bolts. They were .551" and .749"

I may just make my own, I wanted them to be nicely cut, but I have plenty of steel and cut off discs.

Front bolt on the LCA for solid mount is 3/4" by 4.5". Rear bolt on the LCA for solid mount is a 10.9 grade M14 by 130mm.

Those length numbers are tight though, the nyloc is just barely hanging on. You could go with 5" on the 3/4 front and 140mm on the m14 rear and be safe if you dont mind some overhang.

They dont really make that M14x130/140mm bolt for stores so it's a bolt to order @Wishbone Runner Trust me i checked all fastenal stores and other options here for a 10.9 grade.

Thanks Pat! I envy your spacious tundy and big motor... Buut i'm glad i've got the lil truck for the trails here. I do have a question though... So you have a bitchn mid travel full size, whats your take on wheeling now? Do you miss it, you clearly cant take the big truck on lots of trails the taco was cool with banging down. Do you look to a side by side for fun now or are you happy with just doing what the tundra is capable of? It's all personal preference i know but just asking

Haha, me too. I think I am going to end up making 50 trips to Firestone to get it all dialed.

Worth it! It's funny how i just forgot about the alignment after i went solid lower. I set it and just forgot about it until i had to adjust for 295's.

Hmm don't miss it like I thought I would. And I've lost the desire to daily drive a modified vehicle. The tundra will stay the way that it is. I'm very happy with driving it the way it is. I'm focusing more on career choices for now. Lol plus the lady wants a Rubicon so that might become the weekend trail rig

Sconnie Hailer, how do you like your FN wheels? You have the Counter Steers with 0mm offset and 4.5" backspace still? Are you still running 285 75 16's? Did you notice a decrease in power from going that large? What about trimming being as we already have aftermarket front bumpers?
