Has anyone had trouble with the scan gauge connecting to the vehicle?

I have tried to get it to 'force' connect with different protocols and it seems to just keep saying 'connecting' and then going to sleep.. no matter what mode it's in.

    2011 Prerunner, btw..

    Any insight would be appreciated!

    Thank you

Dumb question - did you have the engine running? Mine does that when plugging it in with no key in the ignition.

Does your scan gauge work on other vehicles ??

What you have to do is make sure it is unplugged then turn on ignition or start the engine then plug in. No other sequence works for me.

I was messing with it today and actually got it to connect... I was plugging it in via the port in the back of the ScanGauge, but when I switched it to the side port, it connected immediately?

haha oh well... Thank you for your suggestions guys!
