I got this pink letter in the mail from SAP that says I have not activated the contract service for my vehicle. I don't know what this is. I know I got the extended warranty, but I did not know I was supposed activate anything?

Have you tried responding to it to see if it's legit?

I wouldn’t do that. I’d go to the dealer and ask instead.

I emailed the finance guy at the dealership. Waiting on a response. My biggest red flag was they got my name wrong on the letter.

It is spam, just the old fashioned way by snail mail. We get them all the time; it's a third party company trying to trick you into buying coverage by telling you you have to activate your coverage. They buy your vehicle info from your state BMV.

If it was sent from a Nigerian Prince, then it is totally legit! :)

I used to get these vehicle scams in the mail all the time when I lived in the US. If there’s a prepaid return envelope, pack it with as much weight as possible and send it back to them on their dime....

I love the prepaid return envelopes! I take all the junk mail I can fit, tear it to pieces and stuff it in there to send back to them.

I don't get nearly as many letters as I do spam calls for extended warranties. They get very creative at spoofing caller ID so the spam filters won't catch them. I've probably gotten 14,836 last chances before they close my file.

This is the email mail version of the robo call I get every week several times about my cars warranty. They been trying to reach me so long and it's always the final call..... But never is

I have a Toyota 10year 100,000 mile warranty so yeah I don't listen unless I'm bored and then only to waste their time.
