So, I was curious how others stored their sand bags while they weren't using them during the summer. (I'm referring to the bags you place in the bed during the winter to get better traction.) I just set them on the floor in my garage. Wasn't sure if anyone had an innovative way to store them, ex: a rack or stand that they had built.

Spread them in your yard. Refill next winter.

Floor of garage. Definitely not outside. Learned the hard way that the sun destroys those bags quick. Not a good time cleaning up 140 lbs of sand. Haha.

Three 70 lb. bags under the truck, close to the garage door. I usually get about 3 winters out of them before the bags start to break down and leak sand.

I put the original bags with sand in old pillow covers and close with a a bit of electrical wire. Keeps them pretty much from leaking and lasts a lot longer

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
When/if I use them, I fill some of the low spots in my gravel driveway once Spring arrives.
If the weather dictates, I'll pick up a couple of bags the following Fall.

I use mine as a weight at the bottom of my flimsy garden-hose reel
