I’m interested in your experience. I’ve had one of my own actually, but it’s hard to ignore a 5 star rating with over 200 Yelp reviews.

 

I just found something today that forced me to stop driving my truck, crossing my fingers nothing was damaged, and hasn’t reduced its lifespan. Upon inspection of other work I had done, I’d suggest the name The Truck Slop to more accurately describe the quality of work done. For now that’s all I’m going to say, let’s see what happens on Monday and how they plan to remedy it. I’m still not going to recommend people take their vehicle there tho.
Edit: I too used the reviews thinking it was a 5 star shop

 

They are great at some things and less good at others. They tend to do more of the things they are good at.

 

That’s unfortunate! Hope it’s nothing too serious. Give us an update when you find out.

Getting my Tacoma detailed today! Hope most of the Baja pin stripes will polish out. Been wanting to get this done since 2018.

 

Got some pin stripes of my own. Let us know how it works out.

 

Will do... this guy is really into perfection with details and quality... spot-free water wash, clay bar, buffing now.

 

OK, he was here three hours and did a real professional job and that included deglazing my headlights. He is based out of Vista, but I think he will travel to most any area. Name is Brett Baskett (Baskett's Auto Detailing) 619-761-3724. Tell him David "the Baja guy" sent you. I asked him to mainly work on the exterior but he did a good job inside the cab, too. He brings everything, including the spot-free water, and has a generator if needed for power. $200 for full exterior and light interior detail. The scratches in the clear coat are gone... only deep ones that will catch your fingernail, remain. Because I was in his address folder (maybe from his brother years ago) he gave me an 'old customer' discount (either because I am 'old' or because it was a long time ago I may have used his brother to detail my last Tacoma, 2009?). Photos coming...

Went out there yesterday with a buddy. Other than three border patrol trucks, one on a motorcycle and two mountain bikers didn’t run into anyone else. Entered by pio pico and exited on campo road.
