They did mine. They used Fuyao glass, and it has the go-pro mount.

Did a great job with mine after the truck took a large rock to the face.

Came to work and replaced the windshield with factory replacement. They will ask if yours has the gorpro mount. I think they get to charge more to the insurance company for it...

It was funny. This was a few months after the truck released in 2016. The tech had to ask what the heck the mount was. I told him it was a gimmick.

They've probably done 7 or 8 jobs for me on various vehicles. Only had an issue once a long time ago, windshield wasn't sealed properly so I got some strange noises at highway speeds. They fixed it with no issue after I called them back on it.

I had mine replaced by them. The tech done an excellent job on the install. The only way that you can't tell the replacement isn't oem is the GoPro mount doesn't have the GoPro name on it. I recommend them.

Have used them twice. First time on my 05 Tacoma - don't recall any issues. They did it in the parking lot at work, very convenient. Second time on my 13 Corolla. Did it in my garage at home, went well however I felt the glass was poor quality. Some distortion that I hadn't noticed in the OEM.

My family and I have used them exclusively for past....well, many years.

Never had an issue on anything.

The fact they will come to you is a hassle free experience I do not mind.

Make sure you keep your receipt. I have a fleet of 14 Ford and Chevy vans. At least 8 of them have had to have the windshield replaced for one reason or another. We always use safelit, or at least we used to. 4,of these van got a 2nd broken windshield. When safelite pulled the old windshield and THEN said they couldn't replace it because of rust. They went on to bash other companies saying they didn't know what they were doing. That was rear until I pulled out the receipt showing they replaced it before. $1,800 of body work is what it cost safelite. This happened on 4 of the 8 vans so far.

Each office is going to have different techs and problems. You cannot expect the same service everywhere.

We had one done by Safe lite and they left the headliner cover hanging down and also a wind noise. Had another shop change it and noise goes away and they managed to get the cover in place. Cost less too. Still came to the house. In and out in an hour or less.

They would be my last resort, and then ONLY if they used OEM glass, not their brand. Had one done on my Silverado Z71 4x4, then it was replaced 2 more times for leaks. It still leaked when I traded it in on my Taco.

Safelite has been good for chip repairs. Windshield replacement was another story. my 16 Tacoma was in their shop for a windshield replacement. I didn't want to wait 5 weeks for an at home repair. I show up at 5pm to pick up my truck and I was told they have a problem. The aftermarket windshield my insurance company made them use didn't fit. They tried forcing it and cracked the windshield. So they would need to contact my insurance company to authorize an oem windshield. Also because the epoxy they use would make a hot mess if they did the repair before it's fully cured I would need to drive my truck with several cracks at eye level for 2 weeks. After 2 days of not hearing anything I contacted my insurance adjuster and guess what? They never got contacted by safelite, had no clue there was a problem and (drum roll please) never told safelite they had to use an aftermarket windshield! He contacted safelite and I had a toyota windshield in my truck in 2 days and they did it at my house. Needless to say I'll never use them again.

It's not the company, it's the installer doing it. You may get a great experienced installer, who will take his time and do it right and careful. Or you may get some hack who's just trying to bang the job out to get to the next appointment.

Had a very bad experience with my local Safelite. They dented the roof of the truck and did not properly seal the windshield resulting in a very loud whistle on the freeway. They replaced the glass again but wouldn't cop to the dent. One call to the corporate office changed that. Corp was great to work with. Point is, I like the company but I wouldn't go back to the same location. I'm sure they have great stores and bad stores.

They have called me multiple times a year for almost 8 years after I used them once. That's pretty annoying.

i will never use them again, they replaced my windshield with the aftermarker one (state farm policy), they double charge my insurance company, they didnt seal it properly so now i got that wind comming trough the seal on passsenger side, i did second apoitment 7 days later after they install it cause they told me that the glue needs to dry, i have been promised that they will inspect it, remove the glass and put it one more time correct way, instead of it they were trying to add some glue from the inside , guess what... so after test drive with the same issue or even worse they send me home telling me that they can not do anything today because they dont have spare glass, telling me that i was standind next to the 17 taco windhield, pointing at it they told me that its another client. how many 17 taco they got on saturday noon ? they broke the cowl clips so when i was asking about a new part oem one , one of them starts screaming at me that there is no clips that im wrong so when i told him that i will prove it to him he left, so they decided to fix it macgyver style and used doublesided tape - fuckers.
point is they did shitty instalation
    they refuse to fix it
    they damaged my car
and told me that if im unhappy with it mon thru fri 7-5 i can talk to the manager
i will not leave it like this , they charged my insurance $829 - got the invoice from them
aftermarket is 380 and oem one is 800 - did estimate the other day
so i will force them to use oem even if i got to call trump

I had Safelight put one in my 2013, truck was 4 months old with 3500 miles on it. My Ins refused to pay for oem so Safelight used there cheap glass. I'm waiting in the waiting room and the tech came out and said we have a few problems. Ok what is it, well the new windshield has a scratch in it right in the line of sight and there's a dent in your A piller that was all ready there. I called bullshit on the dent but they didn't do anything for me. They said didn't notice the dent until after the install or they would have showed it too me before starting. We did a walk around together before they even pulled it in.I wouldn't use them again.

Went to Safelite to fill two small cracks since it was covered on my insurance. Tech called about 10 minutes later after he made one spread to about 8 inches long and so then he couldn't fix it...

I know shit happens, but I was not happy about that. Could have lived with the small cracks but once they grew it was right in my eyeline. Used a mom and pop place to replace the windshield and they seem to have done a great job.
