Hey guys. Do you guys with camper shells go through a automatic car wash? I have an ARE Shell and was wanting to go through an automatic car wash. I had red some were that it was note recommended to go through a car wash with a shell. Anyone with experience please chime in.

I do it without hesitation. No issues in the last 8 years

Had a Leer 180 for many years. Went through automatic touchless washes all the time. I just removed the rack beforehand. Never had any issues.

My last truck had a step up ARE and no issues. Had more issues with the truck paint and rust than the topper.

Just be sure to never go through an automatic touch car wash if you care about your paint.

If you have a roof rack or something similar it might not be a good idea. Otherwise it should be fine.

Go for it. Looks no different than a suv to the machine.
