Anyone running wheels off one of these on their 5 lug?

@ 16x7 with the correct lug pattern, it would seem that someone would be using them.

Cheap, plentiful, can be dressed up with trim rings/dog dishes if desired.

    Any pictures?

I was on this track too, but went with the stock steelies just because they were already here. I'm sure there is someone out there with them. I had 2005 Mustang wheels on mine for a little but. They worked great and the stock V6 tires are thin and tall too. Iirc they were close to 30". That's another good option.

I did a Google search, there are pics of mostly lowered trucks wearing the mesh style CV wheels.

    Yea...........

Not looking to lower (or lift)

Not trying to get the look the mesh type would convey.

I am just trying to (eventually) get a bit more width in the wheel, with a little more tire. But I liked the possibility of painting the wheel white (white truck) with a trim ring and babymoon type lug cover.

It would actually be easy to change the look of the truck just by repainting the wheels from time to time, trims on, off, etc.

I've also thought about going down to 14" wheels (!) and then plus sizing the tire enough to regain overall diameter. This would give more sidewall.

Some older base Rangers have such a wheel, center cap and trim ring.

    Thanks for the input!

If you like the ride height of your 5 lug, keep the stock 15" steelies and get you some 235/70/15s. that's what I did to start with and it looked awesome. I just wanted to be close to the Pre Runner height. I've got a nice set of BF Goodrich TA Radials I'd like to sell them and would make you a hang of a deal, they've got 20-25,000 miles on them and have at less that many more. I don't want to ship them though. Look at my gallery to see them on my truck.
