    Hello all
I am wondering if there are any running boards/ sliders that are bolt ons. I also want to keep my factory rocker protectors the pro comes with. I can get in ok but some passengers are having problems getting in

all rock sliders are bolt on....
they attach to the threaded bolt holes already in the frame, put there by toyota...
some are covered with plastic plugs & must be removed at the time of installation.
Keeping both is another topic for discussion...
No reason to if youre truly running rock sliders...
& no idea if there will be interference....
Lots of brand options, Cali raised, Westcott design, rci ,cbi, etc…
Mine will be mass produced by a local San Diego company called NW2 on Instagram, I was involved and got the first prototype, they will get a few more in a month or so after making some minor adjustments…
They ship all over the US, but at this moment, they’re not quite up and running with their revised inventory. Coming very soon, though…

Rock slider manufactures are making straight design or 20° angle design, highly, highly, highly recommend getting the 20° looks so much better, versus looking like a running board, equally as easy using it as a step to get in and out…
I’m 5 foot eight and I have a hard time getting in and out, always use the sliders..
Me personally, not a fan of top plates, but also available with all the various brands…
You also want the rear kick out…

if you choose the right rock slider, you could say goodbye to all door dings…

    That’s my 2 cents…
Or get factory oem tubular running boards by Toyota….
Whatever you do, don’t get the Toyota predator steps…
    Gay!!!!
End of the day, think you’re over complicating things wanting to keep your current rockers, have a feeling they may interfere and end of the day once you install sliders, there will be no purpose for your rockers.
But if they fit, and you want to keep both, that’s up to you.....

Just got to do it, its a great addition, makes the truck in my opinion...

^^ This. I can't imagine any sliders that would fit with the oem rock rails still in place, but as stated, sliders will eliminate the need for the rock rails once installed.

    Yup....
Those rock rails are nothing special in both the functionality dept or the visual appeal dept....
Zero reason to keep them, with some of the amazing rock sliders being manufactured right now...
The Pro is an amazing looking ride & it needs some earrings to match her appearance...
I can only twist arms so much...

I may be wrong but those rock rails you have are attached to the cab (body) and not on the chassis. I don't think that is a strong mount for it. I have seen rock sliders/step boards that are attached to the chassis

It was just another gimik to get another $850 out of us...
I agree, if mounted on the pinch rail, pretty useless in real life offroad scenarios...

I am also curious what to do there. Definitely needing some running boards for my pro as well but I hate taking the protectors off. Be curious to see what rock sliders you go with.

rci 20 deg w/o top plates look pretty cool....$1124

    https://cbioffroadfab.com/product/toyota-tacoma-overland-bolt-on-rock-sliders-2024/
doesnt look like cgi offers 20 degree, dealer breaker for the visual cool factor... $1017

    https://caliraisedled.com/products/trail-edition-rock-sliders-for-toyota-tacoma-2024
cali raised $1079, I feel their website / product page for the sliders can really benefit with some better pics.

    https://westcottdesigns.net/product/2024-2025-toyota-tacoma-2wd-short-bed-rock-sliders/
Westcott design, reputation for top tier quality, $1200
Also lacking pics of no top plate, 20 degree,
but I know they have the needed pics, just email or call them...

No top plates isn't for everyone...
I understand its a huge benefit to block dirt & debris when your pounding the trail....

Personally I much prefer the look without......
    But, that's me...

What's the best for a big foot. I hate only getting part of the foot on it or scraping the crud out of back of my legs getting out.

Your guess is about as good as mine, getting quality pics is challenging from what I see on these websites.....
I only have personal hands on experience with mine, NW2....

Love them, stick out plenty, theyre not trying to go low profile, lets keep it clean look...
    But there very clean!!!!
    Pics above...

There, crawled underneath the truck for you…
    8 bolts
And from what I just saw, they hang too low to be able to install rock slider and keep those…
Happen to be at my dealer this morning, and they have both a pro and a trail hunter sitting out in front of the showroom…
