I have a 2016 Tacoma TRD 4x4 Off-road, double cab, short bed, coming mid-May and wanted to install these running boards (supposeably only up to 2015 fitment). I am not really using them as a step, more as a door ding preventer(and I really like the look and that they are lightweight)....I am 6'-3", don't need no stinkin step.
So anyone know if I can still install these and is it nothing more than maybe having to drill holes for these?
    Any input....thanks!

They should fit just fine. I have a 2015 DCSB that came with Toyota tube steps. I did not like them, so I gave them to my brother who has a 2016 DCSB. They mounted up perfectly using the factory holes, no drilling necessary.

Go take a look at those steps in person. They don't really stick out far enough to help with door dings.

I have these on my DCSB and they fit perfectly, IMO they stick out enough to prevent door digs which was the reason I got them.

I love them for the road crap protection they give, AND the Ole lady sometimes needs a step up... Had 'em on my '06 and now the '16.
I like the look, but it's mainly road crap protection of the paint that I like..

They have these on Ebay for cheaper. I would check there also.

SurfratTX, did the PT212-35055 end up fitting your 2016 4 door?

Any one have pics of these on a 2016 DCLB? I'm thinking about getting these but wouldn't mind seeing a few pictures first. Thanks!

They will fit but you will most likely only be able to install 1 of the 2 bolts at the forward most mounting bracket.

$198 is a great deal! I'm looking now and the best price I can find is $297 shipped.

Yes! I have the exact same steps. Came off of a 2008. Paid $38 (case of beer) for them.

I was a little disillusioned when the dealership showed me the three that would fit the 2016 TRD Sport DCSB and these weren't one of the three. I gave him this part number and he said yes they could get them but couldn't tell me exactly what they fit and he couldn't guarantee they would fit my truck. My heart sunk a bit since mine are to be delivered tomorrow from an Amazon seller for $319 including shipping and no tax. I feel better listening to the forum over the parts man who could tell me they were a Toyota part but couldn't tell me what they fit. They were a $100 - $200 less than what he was trying to sell me and I got them for $100 less than what he could sell them for. I'll find out tomorrow but I am expecting them to bolt right up even though the warning popped up that they would not fit my Toyota Tacoma 2016 TRD Sport DCSB.
