Running board Led lights recommendations

I'm looking for some recommendations, I want to add running board/underbody lights to my 2017 Taco. I'd like to get the ones that are amber running/turn signal lights but go white when the door is opened.
I'm wondering who has done this already? I'd like some decent quality ones that can handle winter (I'm in Toronto Canada area). I've seen the "cheap Chinese" ones on Amazon, but the "didn't work out of the box" reviews scare me, up to the Recon ones at approx. $230US which is more $$ than I want to spend.
Has anyone installed these, what brand did you get and what was your experience, did they fail, still working, etc.

I have two running board lights per side.

Running amber, amber sequential turning signals, and white or red with door opening (depending if I'm camping and don't want to compromise my night sight). The other light strip is strictly for the red led.

I'll try to take a video later when it's dark.

 

It's seems to be tough to find LEDs that are NOT made in China....

 

You got to be willing to pay more for them that's what it really boils down to. Diode Dynamics, Baja are all made/assembled in USA and I could be wrong but KC is only assembled in USA. They're quality pieces though with great warranties and support. Love my DD items that I got from @memario1214 (Hot Shot Offroad).

 

You're right, I'm just looking at the Opt7 lights now.

But also what Veggie said, that gives me ideas too.
