    Considering RTs over ATs or MTs. (more aggressive look over ATs with less weight that MTs and wears better than MTs)

    I understand losing some MPG over AT tires. How does RTs impact acceleration (heavier than ATs)? Is it much noticeable over ATs? Seen some review on second gens that they can be sluggish. What about the turd gens?

    Any tire recommendation for 265/75/16 with stock suspension and pros/cons for each? Currently looking at Toyo Open Country RT.

    So not worth considering? they weigh less than MTs and appears to have better grip than ATs.

    Use as DD. All stock. Weekend camping mostly off pavement with use of rear locker time to time. Some mud and creek crossing.

    Want better grip than ATs. willing to sacrifice mpg but not so much on acceleration as it is already slow.

    Check out Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT’s. I ran them and was impressed. About as aggressive as an AT will get.

    Cooper Stt pro are better than the st maxx. Great for everything and meaty. Or the wildpeak at3 are a good tire. Get in E load though. The SL is poop

    RT = all terrain tire with a more aggressive side wall. End of story......

    I just took off a set of Nitto Ridge Grapplers in 265 size. They were good tires. I went back to the KO2 when I upgraded to 285s. I like the KO2 better

    KO2 is a lighter tire than the RG. Both are available in C and D load. I think the RG tread is like 1/16th deeper, depending on the size and load rating. You can’t tell the difference side by side.
    Actually I just remembered that the RG is also available as a P rated. Those are like 10 lbs lighter than even the KO2
