hello. it is about time for me to replace my bushings on my tacoma and i was wondering which is better ive heard good and bad about polly bushings, the bad being that they squeak like a SOB. i am currently looking at the energy suspension bushing set that they sell. anyone have experience with it? i have around 196000 miles on my 03 v6 prerunner. the lca move back and forth. i confirmed this by tacking the tire of and moving the lca with a bar. the uca didnt move should i replace those just because i want to do the lca? anyone please chime in with some help. thankyou.

Well I have a 4x4 01 d cab and I just rebuilt the whole frontend yesterday. I used the energy suspension bushings andd they are great. very quiet and much stiffer. I also replaced the LBJ UBJ and inner and outter tie rods. Used all MOOG except the bushings. If you decide to do the bushings yourself pm me as they are a PITA and there are a few special steps you have to take. Mine definately needed done after 300200 miles.

I have all poly bushings. There is a small, noticeable increase in sound and vibration but you will get used to it. It is not much. The suspension will move more freely and it becomes more stable since they restrict unwanted suspension movement.

They won't make your comfortable-riding truck unbearable. My truck actually rides better than our BMW 325i and Chevy Sonic.

    I highly recommend them.

There shouldn't be any noise if you use the lube and lube every damn surface of the suspension that the bushing touches. Every few months, use a spray silicone lubricant, preferably solvent-free, and spray the control arms.

Also, the control arms could be over-torqued if your tighten them and they have grease on them. Mine were way too stiff. I found out that there was a general guide to finding the right torque setting for the UCAs.
