No public land camping, but plenty of private and state camp sites. Last weekend I camped at Oxford Ranch near Llano. I've also camped at Sulphur Springs, Hidden Falls Adventure Park and Big Bend National Park.

Not true, there is dispersed camping in the Angelina, Caddo/LBJ, Davy Crockett, Sabine, and Sam Houston National Forests/Grasslands.

I can point you towards many sites in the LBJ Grasslands north of Denton. Used my RTT in many state parks as well.

Here is the LBJ Grasslands MVUM
    • Shaded areas are the National Forest System Lands (see legend)
    • All those areas are available for dispersed camping
    • For vehicle based campsites, follow the FS roads (these are numbered in the 900's)
    • Stick with already established campsites. You will see paths that break off the main FS roads (see example below from 900 south of Cottonwood Lake)
    • There are established campgrounds. Most have dispersed roadside camping leading up to but outside the designated rec fee areas.
    • I used google maps to scout locations, and also drove the roads marking potential campsites
    • Heres some of the campsites I've marked. I strongly encourage you all to research, scout, drive the roads, and explore on your own.
    • Map of unit numbers
    • Trail system map
