Provided that I start working at the place I have in mind, I'll get weekends off. School is out for me on May 25. Any weekend after that would be fine for me

Alright call me stupid..I was bored and home alone, as the wife went to Connecticut for the weekend.

Decided to take the chance and headed out this morning to do the Dirt Devil (Mud Devil) with the rain coming down and flash flood warnings in place for Middle TN. Got on Porters Branch Road and came to the first water crossing, water up and flowing, if you have been then you know there is a little slope that drops into the water. Said heck and off I went. Well it was a little deeper than anticipated but all good. Between that crossing and the second crossing the road is very narrow so no way to turn around. Stopped at the second crossing and water flowing stronger and no way to see the bottom of the creek. I did not think I could back across the first creek crossing and to narrow to turn around. So I put it in 4WD and across I go. This time the water was a lot deeper than normal. So I called myself a dummy and turned around after this crossing as the road was wider and made my way back across the two creek crossings. Figured I did not want to take any more chances so I hopped on the Trace and headed home.

Wish I would of taken a couple photos but too stupid to even do that. I guess the individuals that have their homes on these roads between these creeks and have to come and go know the limits and stay home when it rains.

I will wait for no flash flood warnings in the forecast and head back again another day. :rain:

As many water crossings as there are on the Dirt Devil run I could not imagine doing it in a hard rain.
