    Hi,
Does anybody know anything about a engine code P11EC00 Cylinder #1 air-fuel ratio imbalance
    (port)

engine has a rough idle, a misfire on cylinder #1. Data list show A/F sensor out of control, so I
change it, same code happen, so I change injector on cylinder#1 (port) side. still the same code
and misfire only on Cylinder #1 . Switch coil and spark plug, still same code... This is on a Tacoma 2017 V6 2GR-FKS

    Any ideas on that?...

    thank you

Code came back after you cleared them, after each repair?

    Have you tested compression?

Here are the sensors it uses to pop that code.

    Main;
    Air fuel ratio sensor
    Crankshaft position sensor
    Related;
    Mass air flow meter
    Engine coolant temperature sensor
    Vehicle speed sensor

Considering what you've already replaced and how it's isolated...I'm leaning towards a bad port injector.

Its a 2017? Warranty? Short of the DI injector having issues, you have eliminated the easy stuff.

I'm wondering about this too. I know it's good therapy to wrench one's own vehicle, but if the dealer catches evidence that someone else has been futzing around below the plastic cover, it gives them an excuse to try and deny a future warranty claim. That can bite you hard if an expensive part fails later on.

    Just saying.

Thank you guys for your fast respond... Yes light was coming back on after all the repair or parts replace.. To be honest with you all, vehicle is going on and off to the dealer and they don't know yet what will be the next step.. Compression test was done on cylinder #1 and #5 of the same bank.
    #1 Dry test 120PSI
    #5 Dry test 180PSI
    #1 Wet test(adding a drop of oil) 140PSI
    #5 Wet test 200PSI
Also a leak down test was perform also and no leak from air intake nor exhaust tail pipe, but leak a bit from PVC hose..
What puzzle my mind is after the leak down test, clear all the code's.. and vehicle drove for 4 days without light to come on. I thought piece of carbon was on the valve and clean up by itself.. but light did come back on after 4 days..

I just wondering if anyone happen to have a trouble with that code before?...

Well, based on what you have discovered there, a tear down or engine replacement is next. 120 psi is way, way low for a new engine. I would step back and let Toyota do their thing. Do not give them an excuse not to follow through.

There shouldn't be more than a 10% difference in compression between cylinders. On any engine....

I'd still want to rule out one of the, if not the, easiest of these potential problems - Crankshaft Position Sensor. That is the X at the center of so many things in your ECU. It's what reads the RPMs and if it's off, you'll end up with a host of issues. In severe cases it can cause stalling but in less severe cases could cause long-term issues like these.

They are likely to tell you (like they did me) this isn't your issue b/c your 17 wasn't under recall. Nor was mine, Toyota still claims nothing was wrong with mine. there was no question once I replaced it. I caught mine at less than 10k when it started idling really rough and couldn't seem to nail a proper AFR... i'd have nasty rich exhaust frequently and hard idling that felt like it was on the verge of stalling.

May have zero to do with your issue again, but I'd want to ensure the simplest potential issue had been validated... Worse case, it's a $100 part and 5 minutes to install if you lock your wheels to the left and reach in.

That said, having the dealer do this in your case may be preferred in the event you do have engine damage

What’s the rest of the story? Has the truck gone swimming and injested enough water to bend a rod?

And is it off powertrain warranty by mileage?

I wouldn’t have touched anything and called a tow truck from the beginning if you’re still within the PT warranty.

truck have only done highway millage, no wood or mud or a flood.. millage is only 44,000 miles. I have my own work shop, and the only vehicle I'm working on is Toyota... I have good contact with local Toyota dealer.. That 2017 truck is going on and off to the dealer for that problem, mean time he's coming to my shop having a second opinion.. This site seam to have a lot of experience in Toyota vehicle and truck, so I decide to have a chat with all of you to have your opinion also on that.. Probably I will not be the one that will fix it, We all know its a dealer case.. Vehicle is drivable but rough idle.. Thank you guys for your time !

Well, I just started throwing the same code. Took it to the dealer yesterday since is a 2018 still under warranty. I was hoping it was just the sensor upstream from the Cat. It's not. Dealer said they're in contact with Toyota higher ups and won't know anything until at least Monday. I'm pretty disappointed cause I expect a lot from Toyotas. OP how's yours working out?
