20220118_134456.jpg A friend installed the RC Vertex Coilovers 3.5 on my 3rd Gen. The kit came with the forged uca. After the install we noticed that the uca sits very close to the spring. Wondering if anyone has this problem. If I went with 4 inch knuckle that would bring the uca level, otherwise I will end up with a 7 inch lift which I don't want. Can I adjust the springs to give me a true 4 inch lift.

I have the same kit on my Tacoma. I can stick my hand between the springs and UCA and still have another 3/4"+ to spare.

20220118_134302.jpg Love the kit, just can't get my fingers in there. Do you have the stock spindles on your truck?

Is that with the truck sitting on the wheels, or still up on the jack?
7” lift you say? That would require different spindles, diff drop etc.

My truck is sitting on the ground. I'm not trying to achieve a 7' lift. I'm trying to figure out, if I get 4' spindles to get the uca's to sit level, then I would have to adjust the Coilovers to get the 4' lift. Do you see how close the uca is to the spring.

I would say the coilovers aren't set up properly. With that angle of the UCA with weight on the wheels, you have next to no downtravel on the suspension so every time you hit a bump, you will smack the spring with the UCA. Maybe try taking some preload off the springs of the coilovers?

^This!^ This just looks like the wrong strut spring combo for what OP wants.

Travel is maxed out and there is very little thread to reduce the preload.
OP longer spindles are not going to lower the truck, just fix the UCA angle. My concern is that the CV shafts are maxed out as well.

(Edit) I would contact RC about your issue. Maybe verify the part numbers you have to make sure it is in fact the right kit and not mixed up with parts for another truck. Tundra for instance

Does anyone know the collapsed and extended lengths measurements on these 3.5" vertex? And maybe also the n3 lifted struts by any chance?

From the internet/search on various retailers sites:

    3.5” lift version
    collapsed: 18.01”
    Extended: 23.12”

I know this thread is kinda old, but just my 2¢, when installing the UCA, did you completely tighten down the mounting bolts while the truck was still lifted/on a jack?
