Rough Country Nerf Steps

looking to get the rough country nerf steps for my tacoma. Wondering about quality. Any tacoma owners here who have rough country side steps? If so how have they been?

 

Leave the Rough Country shit for the Jeep guys.

 

Can you recommend a good brand for some nerf steps?

 

I like nfab bars. I put these on my 2016 tacoma and my wife's 2017 4Runner.

awesome, thank you. How was installation? any holes you needed to drill or was it simple bolt on?

 

Very simple 5 bolts on the undercarriage both sides and done no drilling.

 

They are cheaper other places though that was just an example. Autoanything.com has them cheap right now.

The guy that recommended NFab has you on the right path or you could go with one of the several options Toyota offers.

 

Pretty hard to mess up steps, if the RC's are a good price I'd go with those, N-Fabs arn't nothing to brag about, I have them on my Cummins nothing special.

Look up pictures of them, looks to me like RC is selling rebaged N-Fabs.

AVID also makes steps.

 

Yeah from the pics the n-fabs and RC are pretty much the same thing. I'll go with N-fab for now but still will look around. Thanks guys!

 

i've never given them much thought since I have sliders but yea they look exactly the same. Avid would be the route I would go. Listen to Diablo, he knows his shit and if you ever need hours of entertainment grab you a Monster Energy and click on his build thread.

I've got the nfab sliders with detachable steps. Not sliders mounted to the frame mind you, but would provide a little protection and I can pull the steps if I want to

 

The RC have different size tubes from the NFab and seem to sit closer to body which looks better in my opinion. I have only seen them in pictures, I also wondered what they look like in person.

 

Yea I say N-Fab although you should look at some rock sliders.

 

I got cheap ($145) Tyger nerf bars from Amazon. Does the job and I can wash the roof of my truck without a ladder. Decent looking too.

Look at warrior products steps , they look good also

 

I do like those but i'm looking for the factory predator nerf bar look. Unless warrior has the predator type of bars that I may have over looked.

 

I don't think they do - from what I read, stay away from Smittybuilt - cheaper but they have fit issues
