Rough Country Neoprene Seat Covers - Review

Not a deal breaker just wish it was not so in your face RC!

I don't feel like their logo is as "in your face" in person, but they definitely stand out in the pictures really bad!

The Velcro/patch idea is great, but I'd almost be worried I'd feel it between my shoulder blades. Either way it looks awesome.

 

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe an iron on patch would be thinner

 

I'm sitting in my truck right now with a thin golf shirt on and even when I lean back against the seat and squirm around a bit, I don't feel a thing.

Don't know if iron on would work/stay. Great thing about the Velcro patch is I can change em out if I want a fresh look.

Just got an email that my order shipped today.

 

Got mine yesterday. Didn’t know FedEx delivered on Sunday’s but they did. Has everyone who have installed them washed prior?

 

Mine was supposed to be delivered on Saturday, but FedEx sucks in my area. Supposedly today.
Does neoprene needs special soap for washing?
I did not even think about washing them.

 

No. I just put them on and once in awhile I take a damp microfiber towel and wipe them off.

 

I opted not to wash them. I installed both the front and rear seats today. Fairly simple install. Don’t know how long it took as I just enjoyed being outside. It was 58 degrees outside today and it hasn’t been above 20 for the last 2-3 months so I just took my time and enjoyed the process. Thanks

 

Hey Charleston! Olney here! 58 at 6am this morning and raining like a double cunted calf pissing off a 40 foot cliff on a flat rock! You are right, been awhile since central and southern Illinois has seen 58. We had *62 for a high yesterday.

 

Mine have been in GA since Friday, FedEx still has not delivered them. As usual, takes 2 weeks to deliver once package is in state.

 

You can use any soap that is safe for wetsuits.

I used a very weak mix of mild laundry detergent in a big bucket of water to wash mine (Wet Okole brand, but same idea) then rinsed in clean water and let them dry in the shade.

I had Wet Okole’s on my old 2010 and only washed then a handful of times. Maybe once every other year or so. They did come out looking nice after a washing, but I seem to always have something more important to do rather than washing truck seat covers.

 

They do have a slight ‘new textile’ stink to them once first unwrapped . I let them sit out a day before I installed, but didn’t wash them. The smell is gone now, my truck doesn’t smell either.

 

I've been looking at these covers today. Seems like a good deal for $200.

 

Just got mine on last night. I have a little bit more tucking and tightening to do but it is 95% done. Thought I would share.

 

Is that black or grey?

 

They only come in black.

 

Just got mine yesterday. Now to find the time!
