Howdy. I'm thinking of putting this Rough Country lift kit on my truck. It's a 2019 TRD Offroad, currently all stock.
    I'd appreciate any feedback.

Thats the same kit my buddy installed on his 2019 trd.... Made the truck look cool if thats the objective, but it created more vibration. The larger tires robbed his truck of power, and fuel economy. He had on for about a year. This spring the truck was returned to stock with smaller tires. He's much happier how the truck rides, and drives. He actually admitted it was a mistake installing this lift.

    Like, so many.
I wouldn't do it. Go with the Billstiens or Eibachs.

Rough Country is the McDonalds of aftermarket. They wouldn't be your first choice, but they will satisfy your hunger at a low price. You get what you pay for.

I bought this kit for my truck and it was alright for what I needed, but the ride was a little rough and honestly you can do better for the price. I'd build your own suspension kit with billstien 5100's all around and grab a 2" add a leaf for the rear lift instead of the 2" block.

I think a spacer lift would be the McDonalds.
Rough Country would be like Wendy's.

btw. I took a vacation in st augustine in "96" with my parents and grandmother. Beautiful condo just south of the lighthouse and pier.
Best vacation in my entire life.

3 inch lift are for folks who likes wrenching cv boots on their Tacos! Stick with 2 inch lift.

You can do better, regardless whether it's a pretty boy or functional lift.

I wouldn't know. I've never been. I can afford to buy basically whatever I want.
I just can't see $200-$300 for dinner for me and the wife. A good $25-$30 steak eats just fine.

Look not all of us can afford King, Fox, Icon etc. Everyone loves to bash on RC lifts. Honestly if you read any forums concerning RC it’s ALWAYS someone’s brothers, sisters friends cousin who had a bad experience with the quality of it. With the exception of the one member here who actually had the lift and gave an honest review of his experience I personally don’t think it’s bad for the money.

A lot of people swear by the sexy brand name stuff but not all of us do the heavy off-roading that requires such an expensive lift with reservoirs and such.

I have heard good things about Eibach and Bilstein lifts that are just as affordable. Although I have read that most have done the add a leaf which stiffens the ride as well.

I have the RC kit you are inquiring about and paid just under $500 w my military discount. I don’t do any serious off-roading except for trails here and there.

At first the ride was a bit stiff (rear) but after a few weeks the ride quality was ALMOST like factory. I was able to mount 285/75/16 KO2s without a cab mount chop (cmc). I don’t rub at all.

I also had a 3.5 RC lift on my Jk keep as well. I read a ton of bad reviews on the jeep forums as well but no one who commented actually had the lift smh. I had no issues with it at all and the ride quality was nice and smooth with 35” Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

I have no complaints and often get compliments on the stance of my truck.

I honestly think you will lose ride quality with any lift you go with (I’m not an expert). If you do serious off reading then go with the the expensive stuff. If you do trails but mostly drive on pavement, go with RC kit.

Go with what suits your driving and your wallet. I’m happy with my lift and I would buy it again.

I have kids so McDonalds $1 menu for me!

    Hope this helps4D8499D9-A550-449E-8926-852CD67DD6DC.jpg6DAF82B0-96A5-4365-A95E-6CD3F01A56E5.jpg

For that price, I think there are better options. Although, Rough Country isn't bad as people say in my opinion. I've had experience with some of their stuff before and had no issues.

They seem to cater towards a certain type of crowd however. Mostly the big rim small tire crowd.

Well, as far as the rough country 3'' lift kit...i rode in my buddies truck a couple times when we took it on fishing trips. Honestly it sucked. The truck had excessive vibration and rode like a lumber wagon. I couldn't wait to get back home to drive my truck. I think it was the last fishing trip we took late in the late fall with my 2020 truck that convinced him to get his truck back to stock as soon as winter was over.

to generous on spacers. Spacers are more like 7-11 nachos. They seem like a good idea and taste good at the time, then you get the shits later.
