    Hey y'all,

Been reading a lot of posts on this to gather some data but it seems to be mostly a mixed bag and I wanted to ask more specifics to see your guys opinions on the Rough Country 3 inch lift kit for the tacos...

I'm looking to do some mild off-roading here in Colorado on top of overlanding, tentatively planning on buying bigger tires but nothing too crazy. I have a 3rd gen 17 limited DCSB and don't want to destroy it 4-wheeling...yet

From what I've seen off Amazon people seem to favor it, looks like it comes with all the essentials for the lift. I'm, trying to be as cost effective as possible not willing to put spacers in as I want a legit suspension, but I'm hearing some people say they love RC and others say RC is absolute junk.

Can anyone add to this in their experience with RC? This kit look like it may last at least a few years or avoid like the plague?

This is the lift kit btw:

Pretty much the same kit my buddy runs and he goes everywhere I do, in the end you get what you pay for, but for the most part rc does just fine

RC is low tier. There are better options for the money.

imho you can get a better performing setup if you were to piece your own setup.
I’d get some prices on a set of 5100s up front with old man emu springs for your setup they have varying spring rates/heights, a progressive aal, Bilstein 5100s or b110s for more droop.
You may want to budget in some upper control arms for proper alignment. Every truck is different some need it at 2.5 or 2in of front lift.

No, save your money and get some real nice coilovers. Do lots of research, there is alot more to lifting these trucks than just installing a set of adjustable coilovers. Good luck with your truck.

I appreciate the feedback guys...that raises another question though, regardless of what 3inch lift I pickup are new UCA's to accommodate the lift absolutely necessary?

I’ve got it! Lifted strut option is key, no spacer. Works great with SPC control arms. Sometimes I think members on here get paid to promote headstrong/ bilstein/ king ect. Lmao!!
