    Hello,

I am trying to locate a Rooftop tent to fit the profile of the bed of my 2015 Tacoma Double Cab Short Bed with minimal overlap. I would ideally like a low profile hard top RTT and my idea is to mount it flush to the bed of the truck to lower the center of gravity.

On Last Line of Defense's Youtube Channel (In the video below)- I see he is testing a prototype Rooftop Tent for his DCSB 3rd gen tacoma by IKamper that fits the DCSB bed size nicely. This is the EXACT size I am looking for. Are there any RTT's out yet that fit this description yet?

And additionally has anyone heard a release date for this IKamper yet?

    Thanks for any help guys!

Be prepared for a shit show if you preorder that from iKamper.

I preordered their x-cover this year and it wasn't exactly a pleasant, customer focused, process. There was minimal communication from them once the order was placed. No timely shipment or delivery timeline updates. They shipped me the wrong color and refused to exchange it or cover the cost of a wrap. Then they told me that if I removed the rack to wrap the lid it would void the warranty.

Also, if they say June 2020, don't plan on receiving until August/September 2020.

I'd definitely look at other options at that price point.

Ahh yes the frustrations of small companies I got the same “issue” with cbi/tacomabeast. Although it’s not really their fault but small companies like this don’t have a strong infrastructure to handle big orders. But it is what it is to be different :broccoli::broccoli:

Shipping the wrong product and then refusing to correct you fulfillment error isn't a small company issue, it's simply shitty customer service.

Don't get me wrong totally agree with you and it comes with small companies territory. Hopefully they change? It's the risk you take with small companies hopefully they don't suddenly disappear.

My experience with them wasn't an isolated one...plenty of other displeased customers this time around. I think they are in business still because of their unique designs but they are a luxury goods provider and generally you need strong customer service to survive in that category.

Good heads up. That sucks I would agree the design is nice and streamlined but for that price point it's too high hopefully somebody will come to the challenge.
