    Does anyone make them?

My problem, I would love a rack for the benefits of storage while on the trail. But I work in the downtown core and often park underground where its already hard to find places I can fit, losing 2-3inchs on height will mean a few of said places are gone.
From what I understand with most racks once you install them you kind of need to leave them installed, if you remove them you run the risk of leaks.

I'm obviously going with a bed rack as well but would really love the roof rack too.
I know I could obviously get the thule or yakima type roof racks that mount to the door jam by clamp but those can't really support much.
Really I'd love a frontrunner rack but doubt that's possible.

Maybe look into the OEM roof rack. They are about the same height as the antenna fin on your truck so if your antenna is ok the rack should be fine. The cross bars on the OEM rack fold up when not in use, but not sure if that would make a difference where you are parking.

That may be ok but still similar problem to the Thule one. Just not much weight capacity

Yup limited to only 100 lbs. I figure you can put the light/bulky stuff there (like sleeping bags).

That may work along with one of those basket things. May be an option.

Really wish there was a way to remove the front runner with no issues

I'm guessing that any relatively sturdy rack (including the OEM one) would need to be somehow screwed or bolted onto the roof. I'd be worried about stripping a screw/bolt with constantly removing them. They have some strap or clamp on racks but I personally wouldn't trust any cargo with those.

That rhino one might work with a basket attachment. Gives me options for tire and other gear

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg The new dissent offroad aluminum rack is only 1/2" higher than the shark fin, you can also remove the entire rack in a matter of minutes but leave the brackets bolted to the roof, this way your not messing with the seal and the brackets on the roof are below the shark fin.

Get a Prinsu and pull the 10 bolts, remove the rack and reinsert the bolts with a rubber washer no lost clearance

I'm not as crazy about the prinsu as the frontrunner, and that wouldn't be as fast nor as reliable as leaving something installed

just curious on the top anyone know of a track similar to the one in front runner racks you can buy?
I'm almost thinking having some on my bed rack will also come in handy mounting stuff on top.
