Roof rack flooring/decking (prinsu)

Looking to DIY a flooring/deck that I can still use to strap gear down when needed. GF made a comment it would be nice to be able to sit in the roof so figured I could rig up a floor still has strap down capabilities. Has anyone down this? Not sure what gauge of aluminum sheeting to use..... Don’t want it to bend to much. Essentially thought I’d buy aluminum sheeting (pic of the three style options) and cut to size. Screw down to the prinsu rack. Don’t want to cover the sun roof.

 

I have something similar, but much to my regret, the work is, as I was transporting a small boat my dacha well about 45 km and the dent was won. Because one of the beams fell off. What did you finally use for decking on your roof rack? Im trying to come up with something for mine. Thanks
