In looking around on TW, I have seen some pic of area camp lights for roof racks that appear to be rectangular, with angled housings to mount to the rack, but I have yet to find anything like that through various vendors, nor have I seen any references to them in posts, here.
I'm hoping that someone can point me in the right direction, as I'd like something like this to mount to the underside edges of my rack for nighttime area illumination.

    My thanks, in advance!

What exactly are you looking for? I did a simple google search and it came up with a bunch of options.

Uptop has Scenepods, Prinsu has handles...both use a Baja Designs rock light.

I was working on fitting some to my rack awhile ago, think I was looking at the Rigid Scene Lights?
Edit: I was going to add a link but a google search shows they’re everywhere.

I have the Prinsu handles with BD rock lights. I think it puts out the perfect amount of light. Also one of my favorite light mods.

    How bright are they?

Too bright for an "auto on with dome light" type walk up lighting?

What brand of roof rack do you have? That'll help narrow down which lights will be "supported" without having to modify the rack too much.

I have an uptop rack with mictuning rock/scene lights that run off of the factory bed cargo lamp switch, meaning I can have them on or off with conjunction to the bed light (lock or unlocking truck, cargo lamp on/off, on same timer as cargo lamp so won't drain battery)

I thought of doing that but yes, I feel like they’re just slightly to bright for that. It’s enough that it’s going to shine into the car parked next to you when you walk up. They’re not super bright though.
