random question. Car guys roll their fenders to make them wider to fit tires. Why does this not happen with trucks seems better then cutting to fit? I'm not gonna try it just wondering

Firstly I’d think it’s difficult to roll a plastic Taco fender flare so that’s one thing.

Second when we’re talking about rolling fenders so the wheels/tires can “tuck” on a small passenger vehicle, it’s a whole different scale than even our smaller sized Tacomas. They might need an inch of clearance at most (generalizing here). Trucks are sometimes trying to increase size multiple inches (say going from a 31” to a 35”). You ain’t gonna roll that, period.

Third, some people also want to increase offset for “poke”. Cars do too but again different scale. Some people on here with mongo spacers and wonky offset will be multiple inches wider than stock which would never work on a small car unless you like roaching hub bearings on the weekly.

Could you roll? Yea. Worth the effort? Probably not. I have a hard time finding a use case on our trucks.
