Been searching for a while but cannot for the life of me find a thread on this. I'm sure this has been talked about before. But one thing I have always wanted on my taco is a solid rear window that rolls down like the tundras have...

Attached is a picture of what I am talking about. Think it could be done???

You're gonna have to do some major fab to get that feature. I don't think it's worth it, unless you got some easy money to throw away.

You can always get the last gen Tundra, pre-07 I think?

I am looking to do the same thing on my 2020 tacoma. I am getting a FWC Fleet in April and I am looking to make a way to crawl thru to the camper from the truck. I had a 03 Tacoma that I bought a topper with no window and proceeded to removed the rear window in the taco and put a rubber boot in between the cab and topper which allowed me to crawl through to the back without getting out of the cab. I will be attempting this project in the near future. I will let you know how it goes or what I find.

You are attempting this in the near future? That is something I’d like to see. You are pretty much lying.

Removing the plastic covers to reveal the back cab wall will change your mind fairly quickly about attempting this mod.

If someone designs and creates a drop down version like all the caps out there have, they'd be a tousandaire in no time, take my money

How can this be so difficult ? I'm with the OP, I have a 2020 Tacoma and I have had this same idea in my head since 2014. If they can do it for the Tundra, why can't they do it for the Tacoma ? Someone please explain....

I recall someone posting their step by step and the parts they used. I’m not in the mood to fail using the TW search function so, well, good luck.

its not difficult, but the demand isn’t there. Nobody will build one if there is no profit or the profit margin is slim.
