Can anyone help me determine which bearings I need to order. Engine is 3rz , crankshaft is standard.
I don't understand what the different marks and numbers are . Going back with OEM Toyota parts. My rods have a 4 and a 3 stamped on them. The bearings have a 5 and a 2 ink mark on the back of them.
The mains don't have any thing marked on them. The block has 5 squares with 2 stamped in them.
I would really appreciate it if someone could help steer me in the right direction LOL.

I am guessing you don`t have a Micrometer to measure your crank journals ??

That is the only way I have ever done bearings

I took crank to machine shop. It's on standard. But if you look at any of the oem Toyota parts online they have like 4 different bearings on standard. Mark 4 , mark 5 ,mark 6 on connecting rod. Mains have a mark number and a number number. If that makes sense.

Hey flex98tacoma. Did you ever get all the bearing sizes worked out. I'm running into the same thing on my 3vz that I'm rebuilding and need to know what standard size of bearings to get. Apparently their are 4 different standard size rod and main bearings. And not only that. I'm had to get a different crank cause mine was not able to be turned and so I found another 3vZ motor and got the crank out of it. My old crank was a number 0 and my block is a 2. The newer crank I got is a number 1 that came out of a number 3 block. So I'm using a #1 crank in a #2 block and it says( if I'm reading this right) to use a #3 bearings. The guy at the machine shop that checked my crank that I got out of that 2nd Motor. Said to just use the rod and main bearings that came out of the motor I got the crank out of. But those bearings are #4. But they were on that crank so I'm hoping I'm doing the right thing. Cause I would like to order new bearings but how in the world do you order bearings when every place ,even yotashop says these bearings go with this motor and according to the manual there are 4 different standard bearings that it could be cause there are apparently 4 different blocks and 4 different cranks all of the same Motor? So if anyone reads this and can tell me what bearing size I need to get or that as long as they are for the 3vz than it don't matter , please tell me.
