Lots of good advice in the past post.

I have done the CMC, cut about as much as you can, hammered pinch weld seam, trimmed inside, and at lower finder, re-geared and they are right. It cost alot of $$$$ and take your time with the cutting and trimming. I feel the finished work is pretty clean and the truck is amazing off-road. My Jeep friends are pretty impressed with the trucks capabilities.

Also, the RT rims are a great product, tire fits tight, never had a bead leave it when aired down.

so you think a stage 1 eibach lift 2 inch maybe a 2 inch lift in rear aswell and spc upper control arms would be a lot better to fit these? and do you have to regear? what if you don’t regear?

Ok, the first thing you have to.ask yourself is what you want to do.with your tacoma. Will it go off road or be a pavement princess. To fit a "technically " 34" tire, you will need a minimum of a 2 inch lift in the front (the rear is whatever you want to make it level so like a 2.75 in the rear) the upper.control arm.is irrelevant and only for articulation ( if you go off road) you will.need to do a massive cab mount chop, a pinch weld fold, a bunch of.cutting to the inner fender, as well.as.a caster setting set well above 3°. If you do not regear, you will bog down when you put your foot on the gas, you will put a lot of strain on your transmission, and you will get horrible gas mileage. Like i.said, first ask yourself what you want to go this big for. Is it for looks or for function. If it is for looks, it might cost you cheap in the short run but a boatload in the long run and you will hate the performance of your truck. If you do it right from the beginning, it will cost you a hell of a lot in the beginning but you will not have to worry about things afterwards. Either way you will have to pay. I can truthfully say that Rocktrix are one of the best Wheels for the money that you can purchase today but this conversation about tires is for a different thread. Ask yourself what you want to do with your truck first, second, ask yourself what your budget is, and then we can figure out if those 2 concepts will mesh.

2" lift will help and I ran SPC arms on a Fox lift. It worked well.

In my opinion, I re-gear all of my vehicle's if I go with a bigger tire. Trust me on this, you will be glad you did. If you don't re-gear and you go with bigger tires, expect to get worse gas mileage, will take more power to get rolling, more strain on the transmission if it's an auto and if you plan on wheeling your truck, there's nothing like having a lower gear ratio.

Do lots of research before making any mods to your truck, even something as simple as new rims and tires.

285x70x17 is a real nice size for these trucks if you're going to stay with stock gearing. The Masterctaft 295x70x17 is a big tire and if you want to jump up to 35s. Well that's a whole different game there.

Toyota makes a great truck, but it has its short comings when you start to really wheel them, spindles bend, alignment tabs fold over, rear spring hangers bend and more.

Just keep doing your homework and you will be fine.
    Good luck with your truck.

Yes, the 265/70/17 is a 32" tire. For what you are planning on doing with it, a 32" tire is MORE than enough of a tire. Yes you can upgrade to a 34" tire but you will have to pay a lot of money just for ""The look." Keep in mind that the tacoma is not a "Jeep" (dare I say that horrible word here) where as it does not have a solid front axle and geared from the factory for 33's or even 35's. Our trucks have an independent front suspension and come fr9m the factory with a maximum of a 32" tire (the pro and the offroad) but you can most certainly do whatever you choose to do with your truck. We are only trying to help you realize that you will either be paying a lot of money just for "the look" (which is you perogative most certainly) or you will be throwing your money away and ruining your ride at the same time if you don't do it right just because you like the look. Please, if you can, use the search button and check the thousands of threads regarding this. We are just trying to save you time and money.

Yes, and the severe cab mount chop, the pinch weld folding, and cutting of the inner fender as well.

No, you can fit 32's (265/70/17's) on your truck right now with zero modifications. You won't be able to fit a 295/70/17.

Here is a tire guide for what we recommend to fit our wheels and specific tire sizes you would like to run
