Anyone tape or paint their rocker panels for protection? Trying to get a visual and experiential info before moving forward. Need a solution for offset wheels/tires throwing up small rocks, etc.

That area is pretty tough as is, you'll notice the orange peel like paint is there by design. But you can always tape it off and plasti dip spray the panels. Otherwise, having an offset large enough to be concerned about the panels is just the nature of it.

Ive seen a few people put down black vinyl on the rockers, honestly I dont think it looks good.

You can get clear paint protection film and do the sides of the truck in that. Amazon sells it in 12 inch wide rolls, that should be good for the sides.

How about some rock sliders with filler plates? Protects against rocks big and small.

Another option would be mud flaps like Rokbloks.

Great idea. Will have to weigh the costs for sliders.

My first gen rocker panels were rock blasted, thanks to 33x12.50s. It was so bad that I had planned on getting them line-x’ed until she got totaled. My 2nd gen is slowly going down the same path and I’ll prob end up doing the bed liner route before too long.

I kinda like it. Wondering what it’d look like on dark gray. Will search around. Thanks.

I had Suntek PPF (10 year warranty) placed on the rockers, chips still happened, its inevitable if your run a wider wheel stance and rocks go where they please. Its a truck. Honestly I dont think I'll ever pay for it again, not worth it in my opinion, its expensive and at the end of the day you could save money wrapping or putting that towards trade down the road.
