I currently have some BS "rock sliders" on my truck that I got before I actually lifted my truck. I am looking to get actual sliders that bolt onto the frame instead of the rocker panel

I was about to go for the westcott designs set but it's close to $2k. I also see the Cali Raised ones for about 1k or so..
I also like the All Pro Apex ones but they have bad reviews
    any suggestions?

Any DOM slider will do its job, but Westcott's quality and attention to detail is 10/10. Best time to buy is black friday - only time of the year they do a sale. Kinda a bad time to order them rn lol.

Shipping is a big swinger for sliders. So look for a good brand closer to you. Best if you can just drive to get them.

BAMF (Bay Area Metal Fab) went on my truck. Bolt on, powder coated, plenty strong and took hits without incident. I just used Rustoleum for touch ups when needed.

This also helps. Westcott is local to me and I was able to run over to their shop and pick them up. Really good group of dudes over there.

Brand isn’t the most important thing. The questions you should be asking are:

    - bolt on or weld on
    - dom or hrew tubing
    - angle
    - kick out or no kick out
    - filler plates or no filler plates
    - bare metal or powder coated
    - fulfillment lead time (can be months)
    - shipping options (i.e. will they ship to your door or only to a freight center)
    - distance to you
    - steel or aluminum

Checkout RCI metalworks. Along the cali raised pricing ballpark. Strong and heavy duty.

Given how expensive all slider setups are, if possible it'd be best to wait for sales on whatever you choose to go with, there'll be different times different companies have sales up at besides Black Friday.

A big factor for picking your setup will be what you actually plan to use them for. Do you need steps into the truck that can survive taking some hits occasionally, or want sliders specifically that can also be used as steps to some degree? Do you plan to purposefully drag sliders over rocks as part of wheeling, or mainly want insurance for accidental hits when you midjudge clearance on a rock or water bar?

I went with an aluminum setup from Greenlane Offroad as I mainly wanted protection from dragging over dirt water bars, if I slid into a deep rut in a road, or from the occasional falling down onto a rock. I went with a 0 degree (flat) setup so they could be used as steps to stand on and to reach the roof. Aluminum is lighter weight and won't rust from all the gravel and debris I know will be hitting the undersides of the sliders, which fits my use case, but there are reasons why most sliders aren't made this way however.

Steel on the other hand is used for most sliders for good reason because it will handle being dragged across hard or rough surfaces like rocks (whereas aluminum is more likely to gouge) and if pushed too hard steel has a much higher tendency to bend instead of breaking. But it also is much heavier, and steel can have issues with rust if you have a bad powdercoat or don't touch sliders up when they're damaged.

EDIT: forgot to note that an over 0 degree slider angle that puts them closer to the body is better for ground clearance, but means you can't use them as step ups. I also liked 0 degree because they are directly in line with my frame rails, so I can easily tell what my ground clearance under my frame is looking from the side or even from the driver's seat out the window.

I have RCI sliders and have been really happy with them. Shipping is reasonable too. Plus the kick out makes for a good platform for my toddler to climb into the back.

The All Pro sliders are nice but not the easiest to bolt up. Requires drilling into the frame. I have them for my LB. Got them shipped right to my door I think for about a grand total last year. The westcott is probably one of the nicest sliders I have seen with the welds but paying a lot for them. They will get banged up anyways.

I've got RCI sliders. They had a 20% off and free shipping deal when I bought them. Checked the boxes for me (DOM, Angled, Bolt on).

Buddy of mine winded up taking advantage of the deal and put the same set on his 3rd gen. Not too long ago he was in an accident where he was hit by a large construction / commercial vehicle. The sliders were bent, but held up well and deflected the initial impact from his driver door towards the fender.. I am not here to say this brand or that brand, or you need sLiDeRsss. Just pointing out DOM has its merits in strength and my buddy credits them with saving his arse/legs etc. Anyways, after seeing his truck/sliders after the accident I am happy to recommend RCI, especially with a 20% discount and free shipping.

If I didn't get such a deal I would have gone BAMF (support local). I've got a BAMF Hybrid front bumper in my garage waiting to go on the truck.. It is built like a tank and the powder coating is very well done.

I’ll vote for Westcott Designs.. Quality is 10/10 and I love how they look as well. They offer DOM/HREW Tubing
    MIG/TIG welds
    0/20 degree angle
    Kick out no kick out
    Top plate no top plate
Just installed mine this weekend after painting them and with a pair of Jack stands it is an easy install.. I bought them on Black Friday and received them in right at 5 weeks but i also ordered them shipped raw.. they were delivered freight I met the driver at Lowe’s about 3 miles from my house.
    DOM/ 20 degree/ with top plates/Kickouts/ MIG welds
RSG and C4 Fabrications were my other favorites but couldn’t pass up the Black Friday deal from Westcott Designs and the attention to detail they’re known for
