I asked this in the armor section but I’m not getting anywhere. I need sliders, ideally bolt on and from someone that will ship them. Would really like the ones with plates since I have kids that climb in and out of the back seats. Anyone know any manufacturers I can check out? Thanks!

I like my trail gears, pretty cheaply priced. Only downside is they aren't a true bolt on. But I'm sure they have them in stock and ready to ship.

I also agree they are awkward to use as a step, my wife does, but they are almost level with the floor.

True bolt-on and you can specify flat or angled up with body when ordering. Flat would work better as a step.
I had the standard 2 tube support, hrew sliders and they survived a triple rollover at highway speeds

I got my Trail Gear sliders from 4wheelparts.com. They're in stock and will ship, or pick up locally if you have one nearby. They do bolt on, but they don't give you any hardware, and you'll have to drill the holes in your frame.

Sucks you don't have anyone that can fab some up for you near you.

I think you want to look at weld-on instead of bolt-on. @Blue92 may have something to add on this...

I have weld ons and wish they were bolt on to be honest with you. Makes for a PITA if you have to paint them or repair them. Strength may be a toss up, I ripped my welded ones off the frame, who would have thought a slider wouldn't be able to handle a massive downward force on it.

You likely wont find a company that makes a 100% bolt on slider for 1st gens. I think even CBI still wants you to drill a few holes. Even still, they will be far more expensive then the weld on ones as they are much more time consuming to make.

I made a set that was truly bolt on. Ended up selling them cause it was my first set and they just didnt meet my expectations. The passenger side was breeze, the drivers side took a lot of trial and error to get the mounts to fit with all the fuel/brake/electrical lines in the way. And the gas tank in the back made things tight too.

I'd have to search and honestly I won't right now but I remember something about bolt on tended to produce more noise vs sliders that were welded. Again, just something that stands out. If I come across it, I'll post it.

New frame & stuff CBI bolt-on Sliders
I have the "TRUE" bolt-on sliders from CBI, and I absolutely love them; they'e perfect! And, they come with ALL hardware, and don't require drilling the frame. As for using them to get in and out of the truck, they DO stick out far enough to use just fine, and although mine don't have plates, I put that "sticky sandpaper" stuff so your feet don't slip off; works great. Photos show sliders right after I put them on (before the sticky sandpaper steps we applied. They weren't cheap, but were EXACTLY what I wanted, and installed in about 1/2 hour. Careful on the driver's side
though so brake & fuel lines don't get pinched.

Bolt-ons are generally much more expensive than the weld on versions. Main advantage is ease of install for a DIYer, but you pay for it.

I paid $250 for my DOM sliders (4xInnovations), $80 to ship iirc. There are folks paying $800 (+ shipping) for their bolt-ons. My sliders, plus the cost of my 1st welder is still cheaper, lol. I've since gotten a bigger one, but I did my sliders with my little $400 125 welder.

Sliders from Amazon, 1 3/4" DOM tube, says bolt on but as gussets require alot of holes best to weld, make sure that you leave at least a 1/4" min. under the pinch weld under cab, price is $365,

That is a kit and you have to weld it together, and then bolt it on. .

Be sure to order ones from Trail Gear, those are $365, the ones sold through Advanced Cycle Parts are the $508, and both are same kit #120011, so look closely!!!!
Actually both are described by Trail Gear but once ordered the cheaper ones come from Advanced Cycle Parts and are $365, same kit, same ###, so be sure to look around Amazon trying to be sneaky.

Only reason to go for something like the 4xInnovations ones vs. the TG ones linked above is if you want to be able to customize the width, height, and angle of the sliders.

When I did mine, I took an inch off each side (total width is 2" smaller than as supplied) and set the bars to something like 10 degrees from horizontal. I also tucked them up as high as they could go, even had to hammer in the pinch weld a little. You don't have quite so much freedom when you start with the standoff tubes and frame mounts already assembled.

Good point, nice truck I esp like the hi lift mount, with the gussets ur still able to angle up or down, just need a little heat and tweak here and there, but I get what your saying mine will be here this week then I got some fab work I want to do to customize them, and then black bedliner. Dab and then roll works best right? I see you did your bed, looks nice.
