Anybody have experience buying "regular inventory" fog lights from Rock Auto? Wondering if they're higher quality than some of the stuff out there on Amazon or CarID?

Or does anybody have alternate, well-priced places to shop?

Are you talking about the fog light assembly, or the bulb?

The bulbs are the same as what you can order on Amazon, autozone, etc.

The assemblies may be different brands, but will be built to the same factory spec as another random brand would be. Especially for fog lights, where they're literally just a reflective cup with a lens.

FWIW, we bought a set of replacement TYC headlight assemblies from Rock for the GF's Rav4 and they work very well, no issues. They're now 3 years old and still look like new, and they cost less than half of what Toyota wanted for a new set.

Sorry for not clarifying. Yes...the entire assembly. In the research I've been doing, I've been seeing mixed reviews on a lot of the aftermarket parts. Pretty typical to see condensation/moisture buildup in the housing. I'd like to think this isn't the case in some of the OEM parts, but maybe it's the way they all are?

Not sure; We haven't had any issue with moisture accumulation in the TYC assemblies we bought, FWIW. We replaced the original factory assemblies because of moisture in one, and fogging in the plastic of the other (that we didn't realize was that bad until we installed the new driver's assembly and had them side-by-side). But the OEM assemblies were 10+ years old at that point.
