Saw some videos and several articles , plus claim from the website on these: RIPP - Toyota V6 Performance Coil Packs. The concept kinda makes sense, but reality is a completely different subject.

Just wondering is any member/members can shed any light on this product?

    Cheers

Thank you TS4x4; pretty expensive snake oil to say the least. The link is appreciated.

Absolutely. Trust me, I spent the better part of 5 years researching power/mpg mods. The only solution is forced induction and for me it wasn't worth the price (6k+) for a small bump in HP (+ ~ 70hp). The only "mods" that help in those categories are lighter wheels/tires, removing your roof rack if you have one, and possibly a bed cover/cap but that ones debatable. The only true mod with engine performance benefit would be a tune unless you want to get into headers, y pipes, cat deletes, etc, but then depending on where you live may cause you to fail inspection. But again, doesn't seem worth the cost IMO.

I agree with your comments. My 2018 is tuned and I'm very satisfied with what the tune has done to the driveability and mpg vs stock. There's no doubt in my mind it pays to seek advise on TW.

    Cheers

Forced induction is the way to go. Now that there are solid tuning options you can get WAY more than 70hp out of the Magnuson kit. You can almost double the stock hp with the blower, smaller pulley and a tune. Stock trucks make a little over 200whp and there are several of us making upper 300s-400whp now.

That's enticing. How many miles do you have on it with that setup? My only worry would be longevity/blowing our little mini van motor

I have 5k on it so far. Its not a daily driver but it runs good and is tuned safely. I stay on top of regular maintenance so I dont expect to have any issues out of it. I know others that have a lot more miles on the same setup and do towing, etc and have not had any issues.
