Righline Gear SUV tent

Got my tent yesterday and attempted to get it set up on my 2015 with an ARE shell.

I can’t seem to get it very tight to the back of the truck. Send it shouldn’t have the big gaps it does.

Anybody got any tips? I should have taken some pics

 

Out of curiosity, did you ever resolve this? I'm thinking of getting the same tent to connect to my Leer shell.

 

I did. I tried it a couple more times and realized that i needed to make it much tighter by pulling the straps further back toward the front of the truck. I was able to get it just right. Just took some more practice.
This tent is very well made and with my shell this is such a great setup
