These seem really interesting. I need to upgrade my shocks and I've been trying to decide which way to go. Might try to get a set later in the year.

    Thanks for posting up!

We revealed our new shocks out at Overland Expo West this weekend in Flagstaff Arizona. Very well received, and thank you to anyone who stopped by to chat and get a closer look. This has been a 4+ year project in the making, and we are stoked to finally get them out to the public! The ride quality they offer out of the box is amazing.

These shocks are pre-tuned based on your weight range. We have (3) Front Tacoma coilover options and (5) rear Tacoma shock options. Each shock will come with different valving on the main piston as well as the adjusters. Our team of engineers went above and beyond to make these badass. Plenty of more details and comparison articles still to come! Feel free to send us a message if you have any questions!

Ride Shocks is 100% designed and assembled here in San Diego, California!

We've been working on a comparison article, but that may take a little longer than expected. We've got a ton of details to dive into and share with everyone. For example: our Dual Piston Adjuster that offers High & Low Speed Compression adjustment has 2 pistons. These two pistons have valving that help control oil flow into the reservoir, and this valving is different depending on the shock application. For Example: front Tacoma DPA will have different valving than the rear. To our knowledge, no one else offers this. Excited to keep sharing more details.

Just installed mine last weekend and man are they beefy. Can't wait to take them out to the desert to see how they handle. Still have less than 50 miles on them so I'll report back here after getting some more miles in. Working with Accutune has been an absolute pleasure also. Their customer service is fantastic. I have always received quick and thoughtful responses to all my emails. I'm very happy with my purchase so far and won't hesitate to recommend Accutune in the future.

Finally delivering on some photos. I didn't take any close ups of the suspension because it looks exactly the same as the ones Accutune provide. I just got the wheels and tires installed today and shop ended up doing a CMC along with a bit of front fender trimming to ensure I cleared on full lock out and squish. They definitely said that the Accutune UCAs worked as intended and pushed the wheel forward during the alignment.

This is currently with 21" of preload, and Icon RXT leaf pack set at Stage 2 with no weight in the bed.

    285/70/17 Nitto Recon Grapplers

Center wheel to fender measurements. I forgot to take measurements before installing but from what I can tell stock measurements are 21" in the front. I haven't found stock measurements for the rear online yet.

    RF - 21 3/4"
    RR - 24"
    LF - 22"
    LR - 24"

A little undecided if I am going to keep the leaf pack at stage 2 in the rear. I usually roll around unloaded in the bed. During camping trips the bed does get loaded up but I highly doubt it's more than ~150lbs. I'm not trying to get rid of the rake completely it's just stage 2 may be a bit overkill with no static weight in the rear. The one downside that I have noticed is that headlight angle is effected. I think I lost a noticeable amount of headlight effective distance(right term?) with this setup.

How do they ride so far on road & off road? Been in touch with John at Accutune and he's been answering my questions no problem and providing lots of info. Although I know these are a great product, Just trying to see what peoples feedback are on these. I have them all in my cart and all. My setup is kinda similar to yours but my RXT leaf pack is set at how it came from factory.

I got the Ride Shocks rear shocks and they’ve been amazing for thousands of miles. So far, I’ve only installed the rear shocks because the front coils weren’t ready yet when I got the rears back in late July. Went from Los Angeles, CA to Glacier National Park in Montana and back to break them in. Lol

Backstory: The KING Shocks that I used to have on the rears were leaking and over due for service. (Had about 60k miles on them) Plus, I was getting ready for a long road trip with friends to Glacier National Park. The rear shocks were the priority to replace and I was short on time (partly due to procrastination). I was referred to AccuTune by a trusted local off road shop, Dirty Parts Off-Road in Culver City, so that I could get a quote for the rebuild on the KINGS. I believe I got to speak with John at AccuTune from day one. I mentioned that I would like to get a new set of shocks while the KINGs were getting rebuilt and he mentioned that they had these new RIDE SHOCKS. I asked if they had them in red. He said yes, and I was probably 90% sold on them because of that. :D

We continued to communicate via text and I decided to eventually go see them in person at El Cajon to pull the trigger on the purchase. John was very cool with helping me out with what to do with the KING Shocks and how to set up the RIDE SHOCKS for the rear setup on the truck.

Visiting their facility at El Cajon.

@Bugout Overland just posted a nice video of his Ride Shocks getting installed. If you're considering installing yourself, this is a great video that you can follow along with pretty well:

Hey @AccuTune Offroad, so I have your guy's Deaver N98 leaf pack in the rear of my tacoma and I have zero added unless you count the 33in tires and 17in wheels. I was just curious if thats a bit overkill for not having any weight in the rear and was wondering if you recommend any other progressive leave pack's that might offer a little bit better ride quality (less stiff). Or, do you recommend keeping the leaf pack the same and buying a set of Ride Shocks because I know they work well with aftermarket leaf spring as I heard in the video you guys made. The only verdict is that the front sits a little lower than the rear when I prefer to have a leveled truck; although its not a deal breaker if its not. I saw in your guys video that your test truck, the front sits slightly lower than the rear. Is that recommended to get the best ride quality or is it just how the truck will sit with an upgraded leaf pack and rear shocks with zero weight in the rear lol. Im extremely interested in your guys lineup and am looking to really get my rig dialed as far and ride quality and performance goes and I trust you guys to do that, thanks!

Good question, thanks for posting up.

N98 leaf pack is about a 2" lift with very little weight added. Most of the ride quality you experience will come from the shocks. What front and rear shocks do you have on the truck now?

Lift height front vs back is really going to be a personal preference. For example, we prefer to have a bit of a rake (taller) in back, so when we do add weight its not slammed to the bump stops. If you have adjustable front coilovers, then you can play with lift height a bit. However, there are definitely some specific shock lengths (at ride height) we prefer. Basically we are after the best combination of up/down travel with the shock. We will reference the shock lengths to determine this. We are not so focused on lift height. Unfortunately rear leaf springs are not adjustable, so there is not much you can do easily for lift height. Often times we see people lift the front too much, trying level out the truck, when the real issue is having too heavy of a rear leaf pack.

We are certainly shock and suspension nerds, especially when it comes to Tacomas. Ride Shocks is definitely an example of that. If you are after a smooth and comfortable ride, but still want off-road performance, ride shocks deliver. Recently I had the opportunity to drive our 2020 Tacoma a few weeks ago to a show, 3 hours each way. Although we totally overloaded the lead pack with booth stuff, I was really surprised at how smooth it was. I honestly used to dread driving that truck since it didn't ride as well as some of the other vehicles in our fleet. Ride Shocks really made a big difference compared to the other shocks we had on it previously, even with our tuning in them.

Wow @AccuTune Offroad that's news to hear and also thank you for the feedback. Im currently running fox 2.5 dsc race series and they ride horrible, to say the least. It feels as if every shock is locked out and the truck just rattles over every little bump and feels really stiff. I have the front shocks set to around 2.5in of lift height give or take and the rear is still sitting slightly higher due to the leaf pack. Your point makes sense with having the rear slightly lifted in case I throw anything in the back but to be honest the most amount of weight I've added to the rear couldn't have been over 300-400lbs at most, and thats on rare occasions. I know you guys offer the j66 leaf pack which is only 1in of ride height instead of 2. Only question I have is do I still get the same performance out of the shocks. It seems like theirs a lot of, I guess you can say math that goes in to having a truck that looks and rides nice. If I ever came down to your guys shop would you be able to help me figure out what would be the best option for my truck?

Of course, happy to help. As much as I would love to get you dialed in with a fresh set of Ride Shocks, I would suggest our sales team help review your setup in more detail first. We will have some options, depending on budget and goals. You're more than welcome to drop by our shop anytime, however there is a lot we can do ahead of time with a few emails. I will send over a PM to get things started.
