    Hey Fellas,

I was thinking of buying some new wheels on Autoplicity and was hoping to get some feedback on their buying experience from this company. Thanks for the help.

From my end, their freight charges are often baked. $9 quickly becomes $50.

What wheels are you looking at?

I'm looking to get a set of black Method standard wheels in a 17". They're also called MR301.

    Hi Danny,

The is Keith from Autoplicity. If you have any questions on any of our products, feel free to contact me. We do not pad our rates as we don't believe that the shipping department should be a profit center.

How is it then that an item comes up on Google shopping for $9 shipping, but upon adding to the cart on the site page, it jumps to $30 .. thats my question. Nice to see that your company is finally recognizing the MAP policies for the products on the site though.

It all depends on the part. For something to jump like that was probably a freight charge to account for an over-size or heavy item.

I wouldn't order anything from these clowns if I were you. I recently ordered some lug nuts from them and they charged me $22 shipping...and that was after a "discount". This is something that should cost $5-10 for shipping.

On top of that, my order has been sitting in "processing" status for two days...WTF. When I tried to call I was put on hold for 10 minutes....called back and they placed me on hold again. All I asked was what the current status was. The response I finally received was that they would email me within 24 hrs.

I sure as hell wouldn't feel comfortable ordering any wheels from them. Once I receive my lug nuts...if I ever receive them I'm done with them...never again will I give them my money

UPDATE: DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY - IT IS A SCAM!!!

I've been calling for days trying to get an update on the status of my order for lug nuts. I'm put on hold every single time and nobody can give me a simple answer....then they hang up on me after about 5 minutes of me being on hold. They've hung up on me 6 times now...same game every time...every day. I can't even cancel my order because they put me on hold then hang up. I'm calling my bank to dispute the charge and change my card number.

I appreciate you trying to clear this up; however, the time to make things right isn't after things have gone so horribly wrong. For some reason you guys seem to pop up on forums after shit has already hit the fan. Hell, I couldn't even get anyone talk with me over the phone. I was for sure I gave my credit card number to some Internet thieves after dealing with those morons over the phone

They have the cheapest prices, but if you can't avoid them be very cautious....I ordered a filter on Thursday - though I paid through Amazon (just to protect my self). Kept checking my email & their website for any tracking or order progress but nothing. Tried to call the toll-free number on the site but no answer. Finally on Saturday, I gave up on them & requested a cancellation via Amazon & placed an order through reliable Amazon. I did however receive an email relating to the cancelation request on Wednesday, the following week. Finally talked to a customer service person, after digging through the cancelation policy page. They claim they won't refund the shipping but the item cost. Their shipping is a little over 11 bucks (1/3 of the filter). What's sad though is the 'manager' claimed that if their website did not update the shipping info, it's too bad since they are not UPS & I should have been patient, awaiting my package's arrival.

What keeps me from buying from them is over several orders in the past I would place an order, get it added to my shopping cart, pay for it, then get an email 2 days later saying that their "stock numbers were incorrect" and then wait 3-4 days or more for a refund. I got tired of that same thing after the second time. I mean if the website shows "10" in stock, and I order 3, and get told that the stock was incorrect, why can I check immediately and the stock on hand STILL says 10? Yeah. Won't get MY money again.

I guess I have had a different experience. I ordered a set of front Weathertechs from them and had no problems at all...

    I'd recommend against using Autoplicity.

    Here's a review I posted on resellerratings.com explaining:

Headline: Autoplicity is the worst retailer I can remember ever having to deal with.

I ordered some expensive, top-of-the-line windshield wipers from Autoplicity in January. In summary, their customer service was _abominable_. When we had a dispute, they were incapable of producing anything resembling an intelligent argument or explanation and simply stated the equivalent of "the sky is red". They never corrected critical problems. I had to call the credit card company to get my money back (which they promptly gave me). I was left without functional windshield wipers for months (until I was able to get my money back and order wipers from Amazon).

    More details:
I ordered PIAA forza hybrid wiper blades (PIAA's top of the line). After many weeks or maybe months of delay, I received PIAA aero vogue wiper blades, a significantly cheaper product. I emailed autoplicity about this (an understandable error) and despite the simplicity of the situation, we exchanged literally more than approximately 20 emails to try to straighten out the situation! (It really was simple. My email receipt clearly stated that ordered PIAA forza hybrid blades. The products I received were clearly aero vogue blades. There is no mistaking the _big_ labels on the box or the style of the two blades.) Autoplicity insisted that "This was the part you ordered." despite the proof in my receipt. It was like arguing with someone who states that the sky is red. What else can you say?) In late March (almost 3 months later, now that my old wipers were unusable), they finally authorized a return. However, they would not refund shipping, which cost a lot, because they still said "This was the part you ordered.". (I wouldn't expect them to refund shipping if I didn't like what I ordered or changed my mind, but you can't charge someone shipping when you never shipped them what they ordered.) I finally called my credit card company and got the shipping money refunded to me through them. However, the amount of time I wasted was insane, and could have been used for something so much better.

This is the worst interaction I can remember having with a retailer. I would never order from autoplicity.

I guess I got lucky. Ordered some PIAA lights and received them in a timely fashion and they were exactly what I ordered.
